Ace Inn Shinjuku

This hostel made in general a quite dirty impression, and charging 100 Yen per shower seems a bit greedy.

This capsule hotel was probably the most Japanese experience of my whole trip. Reasonably clean. Be aware that if you stay there for more than one day, you have to check out in the morning an re-check in in the afternoon.

Really nice and clean hostel, with a lot of common activities.

This is a traditional Japanese Guest House in a building over 100years old. The staff is super friendly.

No lockers and Wi-Fi only in a small part of the lobby is not acceptable, even if the rest if the hostel is clean and nice.

HI - Boston Hostel

I had a extremely nice time in Boston staying at the HI hostel, meeting tons of new people from all over the world. The activities were always a great way to get to know new people and the city. My only criticism would be for the hostel to be more upfront about the 3$/ night fee when you're not a member of the HI network.
