Jamrock hostel, Cartagena, Colombia

Located in the richer side of Cartagena so walking around any time of the day is not a worry, Juan the person running the place was I nice guy who cooked us a lovely meal and was helpful in booking some of my tours. Hostel is realtivly new and shows it, the place needs a little bit of work but once fixed would be a real nice place to stay, I believe it just needs more tourist to visit. Bars and resturants are within walking distance, there is a very nice beach just two blocks walk from the hoste

Stayed here a one week and had a great time. They have a nice pool which is perfectly location between the bar and kitchen area and Is well within yelling distance for another drink or meal haha, I spent many hour in the pool and just laying in the hammocks, the staff are friendly and all have decent English so communication was never an issue. The only issue I was my bag was never returned with my laundry which techniqilly was not there fault as they sent it away, but they bought me another.

Was not many people there when I stayed but was still a nice place to stay, there is a free pool table there but as usual in Colombia it was not exactly level, tho this can make the game more fun. The wifi was decent when not to many people were using it, unfortunately as soon as you go up stairs it stops working which can be a little annoying, but over all is a nice chilled place to stay with helpful staff who's English is quite capable

Rather standard hostel really, they do free salsa lessons as well as free Yoga. There is a nice park 5 min walk past the overhead pedestrian crossing and a nice cathedral also 5 mins walk if you go towards the commercial area, not the best area for getting food but is quiet at night and is a spacious chilled place to stay
