Tip Top Hostel

Bogota, Colombia

Great lottle hostel with good staff

Guayaquil, Ecuador

Hostel was great, small clean double room for only $11. Mall across the road, owner was great and really helpful. Even had a small pool.

We only stayed one night before Uyuni tour, great showers, warm beds, only the tiniest complaint that the heaters turn off automatically at 8am, so if you get up at 9 the room is quiet cold already.

Quechua Inn

Sucre, Bolivia

Quechua Inn was great, 2 mins walk to Fenix Language School, 8 mins to plaza and markets. Had a homely feel, the owner spoke good English and was always willing to help you out. This is not a party hostel, perfect if you are in Sucre to learn some Spanish.

El Misti Rooms

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

El Misti hostel was great, the staff were awesome, always willing to help you out with a smile, especially the young girl on reception. The rooms were a bit small and I am not a fan of triple bunks. Breakfast was alright, the hostel provided lots of info about tours and activities.

Hostel Carioca

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

We stayed for 2 nights, there are not enough bathrooms (second floor only 1 bathroom to 20 people), when I finally got into shower it was totally cold. Paid for washing service that was to be done by that evening, at checkout next day was given a bag of very damp clothes and told dryer was broken, only given half refund when we asked. On checkout day I left room for about 30 seconds to find missing washing and came back to cleaner going through my bag. The 2 reception staff were good.

The Mango Tree

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Breakfast was great, awesome location, some staff were very helpful and friendly

Your Place Hostel

Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

We loved this hostel, really well priced, beautiful private rooms, supplied great information, great wifi access and even supplied free breakfast, free dinner and free drink in happy hour. Has been one of the best hostels we have stayed in so far.

Cuyum Mapu Hostel

Mendoza, Argentina

Good cheap hostel, owner was nice and helpful

Aji Hostel

Santiago, Chile

Hostel was good, friendly staff and good dinner and breakfast (nothing flash but awesome being free) Only complaint there was only 1 powerpoint in a 6 bed dorm and this was above the sink in the small bathroom.
