Soggiorno Laura

The people running it were all very welcoming and warm and friendly. They were always around to help or just have a chat, and gave good information about things to do in Florence and the best places to go. Breakfast is served out on the terrace in the sun or shade, and it is a very good breakfast! Cakes, pastries, bread, toast, cheese, salami and ham, some fruit, coffee, tea, juice, three cereals, yogurts, different jams and biscuits. Possibly a bit sweet, but breakfasts in Italy usually are.

Extremely difficult to find. The directions are misleading: as you come from the stop Loreta it is actually on the right side of the road, not the left. The only signage is a tiny plaque next to a doorbell. The rooms were clean but it was overpriced for what it was. It is run by a young couple, of which the man was friendly but his girlfriend was grumpy. She doesn't speak English but even so she avoided eye contact and had no smiles for us. She made breakfast uncomfortable, food was very average
