This hostel was fine, but can be much improved. Some recommendations include enhancing the atmosphere (try music!), having the bathrooms cleaner, hiring more than one staff person to work at a time, providing a WORKING internet connection, providing a telephone service (free or at charge) to guests, not charing for simple services (two pounds for a towel, 2 pounds per luggage item stored after checkout) that many hostels -- especially those charing over 26 pounds a night -- offer free of charge.

What a place of history, tranquility, and design! The building and its refurbishments were truly enchanting, and the activities put on by Francesco and Tomasso increased the novelty of our stay. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be improved, as could the security of the sleeping area: we had some ruckus during the night; all was fine, but it was truly alarming that none of the staff were able to hear what was happening. Overall, especially if travelling with others, a wonderful stay!

The floors and bathrooms could be a lot cleaner, but the staff were so terrific and the other residents so interesting and friendly I preferred it to cleaner hostels I've stayed in.
