The hostel is a few short tram stops and 5min walk from the main beach front. Security wasn't great as anyone could just walk into the dorm rooms but there was steel cages to lock valuables up under the bottom bunk. Requires your own lock. Bathroom was decent and big. The hostel had an awesome €3 spaghetti bolognese with rosè jug + popcorn snack!! Only stayed one night so would recommend for that.

The location is absolutely beautiful - many activities to keep you busy. There were sheets to rent, but no towel rental. The wifi and stove were available - but you had to pay an extra few Francs to use them.

We only stayed there for one night so it was good enough for us. It had the basics. No wifi in the rooms, but at least had a t.v. A few restaurants in walking distance, but far from major sights. Close to train terminals.

Hostel in a great location. Rooms are small but nicely decorated with clean bathrooms. However, sheets had a food stain that should've come out if they were washed before. The hostel was extremely noisy at night. The only window in the room faced a courtyard where all noise echoed. We also heard stomping feet through thin wooden floors. The door from the street into the hostel could be opened by putting your hand through the window. At 4 am there were people banging and trying to open our door.

Really close to everything with a supermarket just down the road. Kitchen facilities weren't the best as there were a few things missing (kettle, toaster, oven and bottle opener). There was no common area to socialize as the kitchen is too small and is intended for cooking only. The rest of the hostel looked modern and newly renovated. The private twin ensuit that we stayed in had everything we needed. Consistent, fast wifi throughout hostel. Great value for money - would definitely recommend!

This place is amazing! It was beyond value for money! Right next door to the main bus station and a metro just down the road. Rooms were huge and has everything you could ask for. Not a very lively atmosphere in the hotel, but was nice and relaxing. Free wifi in the lobby and paid wifi in the rooms. Many sights, restaurants and tapas bars within walking distance. It was about 25 minutes drive from the beach. Would highly recommend anyone stay here whilst exploring this magnificent city!

Be Sound Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

The supplied bedding was a bit dodgy...you need your own linen or you can rent at a price. The location was great, just up the road from La Rambla, the main tourist street with many busy restaurants and bars. The value for money was poor but we only stayed one night. I guess this time of year is busy for Barcelona so they can charge what they want. Definitely a party hostel atmosphere!!

Hotel Mistral Avignon

The owner was great but didn't speak English so had to communicate with gestures or in writing. The room was very modern but the ensuite bathroom wasn't at the same standard. Both very clean and had the necessities but the shower was tiny and the toilet handle didn't work too well. Only found out upon checkout that the continental breakfast was €7!! About a 25min walk into the outskirts of the beautifully preserved town or catch #5 bus from right outside the hotel to the doorstep of town.

Ciao Hostel

Very modern and clean bathrooms (2x per floor), rooms (cupboards but no lockers) and kitchen (packed with necessities). All were cleaned daily. Wifi was good but occasional weak signal in the rooms. The kitchen/dinning area is a great place to meet other guests. It is +-20mins walk to the train station and then another 5-10mins before you are around the main sites but would highly recommends this hostel!!

We stayed in the tent. It is pretty basic, but that is all you need. The bar/pool area was great!! Lots of good music and drinks specials. The super market is quite large with great variety and decent prices. The restaurant food was good too. The laundry facility was great...lots of machines and dryers. Shared bathrooms were cleaned daily with many showers and toilets. Daily shuttle service to The Vatican offered by the camp site otherwise there is a bus stop just outside the entrance.

The pool REALLY made this pace!! It's great to chill by it after spending the day in the Venice center. The hostel is quite far from the city but there is a shuttle service from the hostel to a drop off point just outside the city. Alternatively a +-15/20mins walk to the public bus stop where bus #6 will take you right to the centers "door step." Supermarket, bar and restaurant all onsite and reasonably priced with a decent variety of food/drink options. Tents are simple with bunks in them.

We stayed in a twin private which was quite small compared to the price. It had a patio which was overrun with weeds and small red bugs! The location of the hostel is excellent but I don't know if that justifies the price. The wifi was really poor. You can only get signal in the reception and common room and the speed was awful! The common room was chilled and the bar was vibey. Hammocks are a nice touch! The breakfast was average. We would recommend but if you want to meet cool people and party

2A Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Out of walking distance from main attractions but a metro station is around the corner. +-10 mins train ride to Alexander Platz (city centre). Wifi is free but works with "tokens" that last an hour and range was weak. Hostel is new so facilities were good...except for the laundry which consists of 2 small washing machines and a dryer. We had to wait while the hostel washed all the linen. Then we had to wait for their linen to dry which took hours because the dryer never worked properly.

We only stayed one night but the hostel was great!! We booked a 6 bed dorm and upon arrival they gave us an 8 bed but they made up for it with a complimentary breakfast. Hair dryer in the bathroom!! Very modern designed dorms.

Really beautiful surroundings!! Tucked away from the hassle and bustle of town...that said, it takes 15-30mins to get into town on bicycle (depending on pace and knowledge of where you are going). Wifi wasn't good:( You pretty much had to sit in the bar to get signal and it was slow. Complementary breakfast spread was superb!! Freshest bread you could ask for!! There wasn't much choice for lunch or dinner. The pancake place down the road is great otherwise you have to go into town for food.

Good location...a nice scenic walk or tran ride to the centre. Really awesome cat that hangs around the rec room:) Breakfast was bread and spreads...good enough to last a morning. Internet was really fast. Basin in the rooms was super small but all in all facilities were good. I little cramped but I guess that is the way they build houses in Amsterdam!!

Great location...very easy to find from the Anvers metro stop. Hotel just 200m around the corner!! Complimentary breakfast (served 'til 09:30) was adequate to start the day. Croissant, OJ, coffee/tea, bun & choice of spreads. Shower door was missing & extra blankets were old with a few small holes. We advise locking main door from the inside when in the room as cleaning staff just open without knocking. Internet was good...1€ for 96hours. A short walk to laundry matte, bakery & super market

Our stay there was really fantastic!! Staff were extremely friendly and gave lots of valuable info on how to get around and what to see. Location was +-30mins walk (+-5mins by quad bike) outside of the hustle and bustle of the town center making it peaceful and allowing for a great view of the the island around the main town. Highly recommend for a couple on a budget romantic getaway.
