I was happy with everything, the host was very forthcoming, the breakfast was good, the rooms were nice. The fact that it is located in an apartment building did not bother me at all, the location is great, close to the centre. Excellent value for money.

First a simple suggestion: print out an A4 paper saying "Entrance to hostels" and put it on the front door. Considering that the house has several doors, this would help. It is impossible to go the toilet in the evenings (people showering). I stayed on the upper bed of a bunk bed and there was no ladder to get up. Lockers for security are very small. No locks on dorm doors. Any noise in the corridor echoes and can be heard in the rooms - bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Archi Rossi Hostel

I was very satisfied with the hostel, stayed at 6-bed female dorm but it was fine. The breakfast and the tours make this hostel the best choice in Florence! If you are a light sleeper, you might want to keep the windows closed at night (if the room faces the street), the door is not very thick so you can hear people in the corridor. Only real minus was that the air con was not always cooperative.
