I wouldn't recommend staying in this hostel and I won't be coming back. One good thing about this place was the staff were friendly and always up to party. Now for some of the bad things, no working Powerpoint in room or hallway, shared toilets and showers were dirty, beds were uncomfortable and had large springs pressing through, very noisy at night time, our room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs, wifi was ok when you could actually connect.

Despite being self named the worlds worst hotel/hostel... It was surprisingly good! It is big and busy. The rooms are standard. We stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm with ensuite. Had a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. The linen was clean and beds were comfy. We had issues with loud guests coming home in the early hours and banging on doors etc. Downstairs has a big bar

Hi, You're totally right, we are basic / standard, but we provide everything you need for a stay in Amsterdam (even a bit more: our own underground club!). See you again soon? Hans Brinker

A really cool hostel close to Kings cross station and metro stations. Rooms were basic and clean and included a sink. Bathrooms were shared, and lots of toilets. The common areas are really funky and spacious. There is a bar and an area that serves food and they have DJ's, karaoke nights etc. A really nice hostel and would definitely return here!

An ok hostel. We had a 3 bed private dorm with ensuite. Rooms was a decent size, with a very compact bathroom. Not the best toilet or shower. Rooms were a little dirty. Small elevator. Kitchen facilities available. Wifi in common area. Breakfast was standard cereals, bread, cold meat. 5min walk to the metro, and close to big train station.

Only a bus ride out of town and the main canals, etc. Had airconditioning which was good as it was SO hot when we were there in August. Our room slept 3 people with 1 single and 1 double bed and had a bathroom, with ok shower and toilet. This hotel was fine for 1 night as we only needed somewhere to sleep and were out majority of the day.

Booked a 4bed dorm and when we arrived, we found that our beds were upstairs in an attic joined with another dorm. We had no issue with this, but wasn't what we were expecting. Shared a bathroom with combined dorms. Small lockers in rooms to fit a small bag, or valuables only. A really nice hostel, with good character. Friendly staff most of the time. We checked in in the early hours of the morning due to train delays but this was no issue. Short walk in to the centre. No airconditiong, but fans

Really liked this hostel. It is very well run, and has excellent security where you need a door key to get almost everywhere. We stay in a 6bed mixed dorm with ensuite. Bed and linen was clean. Room had a nice window. Shower & toilet were fine. Lockers in room. Small bar downstairs for food & drinks & socialising. Wifi in common rooms. Breakfast standard. Excellent location directly next to Vondelpark. Short walk to shops. Definitely recommend and would definitely come back here.

A very basic hostel. We stayed for 3 nights in a private 4 bed dorm with ensuite. No air con, or fans in the room and fans in the common room didn't make much of a difference. Wifi worked in our room, but may have been because we were only on the 1st floor. There was a small elevator, but was sometimes easier to take the stairs. Location was quite good, only a short walk to the main shopping strip with restaurants and bars. The shower & toilet were fine in our room, just in a very compact space
