Hostel El Castillo

Santiago, Chile

Staff were great and very pleasent and helpful but, the hostel was pretty empty, maybe because it is off season, and for the price paid there are better options in Santiago that include dinner, for example. The hostel didnt strike me as being too clean or nice.

Angel Hostal

Valparaiso, Chile

GREAT hostel! Really good atmosphere, maybe because the common área is so small. it seems like people come here to socialize. Breakfast is excellent and so are showers. The decoration and overall appearal of the hostal is beautiful. I just wish they did not have the pay every day policy. Highly Recommended.

Aji Hostel

Santiago, Chile

Excellent hostel. The main reason to go there - free dinner, and a great one indeed (though amounts are small). Also breakfast was good, but basic. Really friendly and helful staff. Showers were ok, pretty small and inconvinient (shared), and they should have at last one m ore computer in my opinion. Overall - great value for money!

Sleeping in Loki Cusco is not a guarantee. Do not expect to sleep well if you are in one of the cheapest dorms. On the other hand, parties are amongst the finest ever in hostels, All you can eat BBQ is excellent and the hostel itself is beautiful. As all Lokis - Hot showers, decent commuters, comfortable beds. Travel Agency is overpriced and works with other agencies in town that going directly to will give you better prices. And as for the Location - be ready to be panting!

El Albergue Espanol

Arequipa, Peru

It is a very cheap and nice hostel next to the center of town. Not very social but overall for couples it is a great choice. No computers but there is Wifi.

Ekeko Hostel

Lima, Peru

We had a wonderful time at Ekeko mostly because of one of the staff - David was one of the most kind and nicest hostel staff we have met. The price is fair, the location is a 15 minutes of nice walk from the centre of Miraflores and close to Plaza Vea - a huge supermarket, something very useful if you like to cook (the kitchen is nice although not well equipped). David - good luck with the Hebrew! Asaf and Jillian

Hostal Marsella

Quito, Ecuador

The big pro is the value for money. Very cheap compared to other hostels. It is a walk from the old town, not at night though, and a short cab or bus ride to la mariscal. So at night you must take a taxi if you want to go anywhere. Showers - hot. Wifi - ok . No computer to use. No real common area or attempt to decorate. Still - the big pro is how cheap it is.

Sunflower Hostel

Cali, Colombia

A great hostel in a secure neighberhood (not to be underestimated in Cali). Friendly and helpfull staff with a lot of information about the city. Not too loud. Ask for the rooms at the first floor. Recommended.

Yambolombia Hostel

Salento, Colombia

Yambalomia is very an art house. Beautifully designed by the volunteers and stayers at the hostels, it is one of the best warm decorated hostels. Staying at yambalomia feels very homie. Gonzales and Hannah will make you feel totally at home. Take into consideration - it's not a good mingling hostel as it is small, and it is far from town. For a relaxed and homie experienced and for these who like art, nature, and Spanish - it is more than perfect. Btw - no wifi, no computer, no tv.

Tip Top Hostel

Bogota, Colombia

It was pretty empty when I arrived. Sharing the computer with the administration. No lockers. "Staff" is a young person, who apperantly has a boss I never saw, really nice but doesn't seem like he had a lot of information. Speaks english. I must say it was clean and the beds are decent and big.

La Masia Summer Hostel

Taganga, Colombia

Great Place! Pros: swimming pool, great atmosphere, bar and resturant, pool table, great staff that speak english, clean and tidy. Cons: location far from beach, a little pricey.
