Shares corner with all the strip clubs in san fran so it's very loud but location is perfect! This place is old and run down, bathrooms were fine but we did find traces of bed bugs on our mattress, though we never actually saw any bugs. Pay the extra money and stay at a nicer place.
Rooms are very clean and wonderful, pool is a nice touch and is outdoors so there are no hours. Staff are friendly enough. Location is good 15mins walk to the beach but that means you're outside the party zone that's good as noise is minimal.
Restaurant on site is ok. Rooms are clean though we did have a giant cockroach come in through the air conditioner unit but only once and it wasn't the hostels fault it was kind of a fluke. Staff are fine, not much english so that can be a challenge. Building is actually hard to find as addresses are not laid out very logically and you can't see the hostel name since it's blocked by trees, you have to find it by the address since it just looks like a restaurant from the outside
Staff were great, very helpful and overly friendly. Clean and comfortable, not a lot of facilities but all is available nearby.
Hostel restaurant was good, fair prices. Pool was nice, laundry available but cheaper to drop off somewhere else. Staff are friendly and happy to book tours for you, though they are a bit pushy. Clean comfortable rooms.
Location is good but it's far from old town. You can easily get there by cab (cheaply) and its a 5mins walk to metro system which will take you anywhere else. On site restaurant is good, tasty and cheap. One of the cleanest hostel we've ever stayed at. Day staff are helpful, not the night staff. Overall great stay. Beds are very comfortable and dorms have large lockers for all. A bit pricier than most but well worth the money. Would highly recommend.
Had a wonderful stay, owner yong was amazing and very very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfy, would recommend hostel to everyone. District has lots of late night stuff and bars but doesn't bring in to many party crowds so it's a great mix.
First of all they sold our beds even though they knew we were arriving late, then laughed and made fun because we booked through hostelworld saying "thats why". then they let us sleep on their rock hard pull out for the night in the apt living room which also doubles as the office and they still charged us for the night. secondly they put us in separate rooms the 2nd night and it was one of the worst beds we'd had. no ladder for top bunk which id HIGH up, needed kitchen stool for the night. bad.
this was our 2nd stay this week (both were 1 night) and our last stay was awful. This one however is exactly what I'd expect from a hostel. The man we dealt with was friendly and professional, and was very helpful. We actually had privacy this stay and didn't have to wait as long for the bathroom as last time. Still wouldn't recommend but good for a small budget.
Owner very friendly and helpful, hostel is lovely and unique. Bring pot noodles/potatoes as there are no restaurants or stores that sell food. Ferry only in and out, know the times before you go.
We had hard time finding the place, it's further than stated online, clearer ones need to be provided. Olga is a wonderful host and we'd recommend our stay to anyone.
when we arrived at the hostel the power was out which also means no running water. Only 1 bathroom so wait time was an issue as the place was full. The woman working wasn't friendly or helpful and there are 2 bunk beds in the office which is where we slept and she slept on the couch the whole night. very awkward.
The location and building is fine, 2 staff members in particular (olga and a sweet perky blond who's name I can't remember) were always friendly and went out of their way to help us. The rest were unfriendly, unhelpful and rude, ag one point a worker left her friend in charge of the desk when guests were checking out and went for lunch. Stay was fine but wouldn't recommend the place due to overall incompetence by staff.
This place is kind of disgusting, it needs a very thorough deep clean. The dorm beds are fine though the rooms don't lock and there aren't enough lockers for everyone. This is definitely a party hostel, we didn't get a good nights sleep the entire 4 nights we were there.
The hostel was nice but a little run down, great location, staff were friendly and helpful. Like any place in Helsinki everything is a bit pricey.
Arrived to check in and were moved to one of their rooms a few blocks away, part of the same property I guess but it was a stand alone room attached via a locked door to a local's apt. It often sounded as though they were in the room with you. location was central close to beach as well.
We had a wonderful stay and the host Dzemal was wonderful! One of our favourite places we've been and would recommend it in a heartbeat, he made us feel so at home. Thank you Dzemal!
The hostel was very warm because there was no air conditioning or fans, apparently AC was being installed the week after we left. There were a couple of crazy homeless bums that came into the lobby during the night and it was left to the night worker Lily to deal with which is pretty unfair, also if they got aggressive she's alone there so security definitely needs improving.
this hostel is a pub with rooms attached. the location is perfect as bled is so small but the hostel itself was not great. staff had no idea how to run a hostel but ran a good pub (per the noise we could hear from our room).
we didn't think this hostel had a liscence, it seemed very sketchily run and was very run down. the only time there was a staff member present was when you called them over to the property for check in. not overly clean, would definetly not recommend it at all.
had to leave the keys behind when you left so you had to be buzzed in each time. staff spoke very little english, and it was in a rough neighbourhood. bathrooms could have been kept cleaner, there was only tp the first day we were there (out of 3 days). wouldn't recommend for future stay.
very clean, right in the heart of the levanto market area, right around the corner from the levanto piazza. we used this as a base for doing the cinque terre and had a wonderful stay, would stay here again.
hostel itself was run down but nice, enough, but it's in a less than safe neighbourhood. we were careful and a bit wary about walking around at night.
rooms were clean, staff were helpful, toilets and common rooms were a bit gross (dirty), showers and stairwells were abysmally filthy and very mouldy. had a pleasant stay, but cannot recommend it for sanitary reasons.
full kitchen, staff does your laundry at a price. very clean, very near westbanhoff train station. only concert was that our window opened right onto the fire escape so we had to close the window while out so no one would come in.
Some hooligans in the neighbourhood as it's close to the soccer pitch. rooms were clean, bathrooms were ok. located outside of downtown but it's a very reasonable walk.
Very clear, good amount of personal space and social space. Stocked kitchen, maid does all the dishes. Bathrooms were clean but very small, no space at all inside. The owner was were very helpful, and the location is fairly central while being on the cheap side on the river. Would definitely stay here again.
Rooms were fine, bathrooms were a bit gross. Looks very shabby but everything is mostly clean.
