Very nice hostel, lockers in room, front gate continually locked, towels provided, hot showers, plenty of bathrooms, free washing machine, close to the main square however a bit of a walk to the bus station (with packs) . Great breakfast and great BBQ at night. Good outdoor area with communal guitar. The staff Gonzalo is an absolute legend.
This was a good hostel, very big and spread out, lockers in the rooms and good hot showers. Very cool common room and lots of group movie watching. The staff on the front desk were awesome however the staff serving breakfast weren't very friendly, with a first in first served rule they really shouldnt say it is until 10 because even if you get there at 9:30 most things are gone and they act very annoyed if you ask for anything.
This hostel has a very cool vibe with awesome staff, really comfy beds, good kitchen, good common room, group movie time, camp fire sing-a-longs at night, individual lockers for each bed and really good location across the road from a big supermarket and one block from the main street. Could have stayed here for a long time.
Gorgeous hostel which is like staying in a house with a gorgeous view of the water and amazing sunsets at night. Good breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham, bread, jams etc. Very friendly staff.
Cool looking hostel, great staff
Pehuenia was fantastic. Perfect location close to the famous market, the supermarket, the Via Bariloche bus station and also has a beautiful view of the mountains. Towels provided. Home made jams provided for breakfast. Fantastic large kitchen with more than enough utensils. Very clean. No lockers but you feel like you don't need. The owners and their children are so incredibly friendly its like home stay. Very warm and cosy. Nice size dorms for everyones bags to fit. This place was perfect.
Good hot showers with towels provided. Small lockers in room. Big kitchen with enough utensils. One small stove top so I suggest start dinner early or late. The owner Sebastyan is very helpful about hikes and weather predictions. The hostel map shows it being out of town but it really is only a short walk. You can walk from the bus station, it only takes 10 mins, so don't get confused by the map and book a taxi like we did. You don't need one.

We only stayed in this hostel 1 night, arriving on the bus from Ushuaia at 2:00am and leaving at 7:00am for the bus to the Glacier and then onwards. We caught a taxi from the bus station as I think it is too far for walking. In the short time we were there the staff were incredibly friendly, it was warm, clean and the breakfast was delicious with fresh bread. Would definitely recommend.

All reviews we read about La Posta complained about it being too far out of town but it is only a short walk! Don't let the short walk put you off as this hostel is incredible and one of our favourites. Very clean, very warm, hot showers, towels provided and a great breakfast. The staff are so friendly, especially Flo, and there is two kitchens with lots of utensils. The staff were extremely helpful and booked all buses and taxi's when we needed. We loved this place.
This hostel is a great location however if it is raining I suggest not staying here. There are open terraces everywhere and therefore water is everywhere. Bathrooms are not very nice and we ended up moving to the hostel right next door which was much nicer. Our stay might have been better without the rain and water issue.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the public sitting area with bar was good however the rooms are extremely small and almost cel like. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it is extremely intimate sleeping that close with other people. There are great big lockers which is good however there is definitely not enough room for everyones bags on the floor. The kitchen is not very good with very little utensils and breakfast is terrible with stale bread and jam.
This hostel was great with big bathrooms, lockers in the hallway, a swimming pool and bar area and an amazing breakfast of juices, fruit, eggs, ham and bread. Staff were really friendly. Just a small walk to the centre of town.
We stayed here just for one night because it was close to the airport. In a 12 bed dorm peoples stuff was absolutely everywhere and also empty alcohol bottles. There is also a cat that sleeps on the beds. Small lockers in room (which you should use). Kitchen area is good and pretty good breakfast however Lapa is a rough area and the people staying at this hostel were there to party and not really consider others. Not a nice vibe.
This hostel is a bit of a walk away from town but i think its location is its best asset. Away from everything up on the hill surrounded by jungle it is gorgeous. Fantastic breakfast of bread, ham, cheese, cereal, cakes, juice, coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly. We stayed in a private villa which was really nice.
This is the best breakfast of all time. There are big lockers in the room, really friendly staff and nice vibe. Its not on the beach front like other hostels but the breakfast makes it worth the stay.
