In Old Shoes

Belgrade, Serbia
100%

I immediately felt at home at Old Shoes when meeting the owner, Phil. It was refreshing to see Phil put his own personal interest and care in ensuring we had a great stay - he was more than happy to show us everything to do in the area. We got drenched by the rain one day and our shoes were ringing wet and he gave us a fan to dry them. The hostel itself is extremely clean and it is smaller so you get to meet the other people staying quite well. Phil, you are a legend. Would definitely recommend

Metropolis Hostel

Istanbul, Turkey
86%

Metropolis is a fantastic place to stay at if you want a clean, comfortable and cheap stay. The rooftop terrace is one of the best in the tourist area - breakfast provide is best of what I've heard from others staying in neighbouring hostels. Staff were instrumental and helpful in organising subsequent trips around turkey and they were very patient. Only downside is the atmosphere was not as social as a 21 year old would want at a hostel - generally a bit older crowd. Would stay again though
