Despite an initial confusion with finding the hostel (we were given instructions to the Ace of Spades hostel instead of Castle Hostel 1004, they're the same company), and then ringing the doorbell for a long time (even though we made arrangements to arrive early in the morning), once we finally got into the hostel it was great. They were still doing it up during our stay, but for being a bit bare there was still a great atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful, we were driven all around.
Grandio wasn't really like any other hostel we stayed in, but in a good way! The staff were really nice and friendly, and everyone always wanted to make sure you were having a good time. If you're going to Budapest, make sure to be there on a Saturday to go to the Bath party. And don't be too disconcerted when you first go in, there's no reception, just someone shouting down from the balcony!
Possonium is a really a great hostel with good facilities for its size. The outside bar is great to hang out in, and the basement bar is also nice and cosy. Very close to the train station, but that's about it. It's quite a long walk to the historical part of town or the nightlife.
This was an absolutely wonderful hostel! We only stayed one night here, but we wish it had been more it was so nice. The perfect mix of not too big but not too small. Great kitchen, nice bar and chillout area, and the room itself was great, a lot bigger than normal.

This was a good hostel over all. Although it really felt more like a hotel than a hostel, and there was no kitchen which meant we were forced to eat out. As well as that our room was incredibly hot, so hot it was difficult to sleep and regular cold showers were necessary to cool down!
Flying Pig was a really nice hostel, but I have to say I've been to nicer ones that were cheaper. However the staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere down in the bar area.
