Great location, clean (for china) and atmosphere in bar area is great for socialising! But wifi is terrible and the whole place is designed to make you spend loads of money (no wifi in rooms, "conveniently" so you have to go cafe/bar) and buy something! So basically they don't care if you have a good time or not. All they want is £££££

Best staff in any hostel in China. Warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Only complaint would be the lack of aircon in the common room way too hot and sticky.

Excellent hostel close to train and bus station. Tours they run are great and they charge no commision. Girls are fun and bubbly characters. Atmosphere great and movie room is a nice touch. Best hostel in region for sure
We are very bubbly! Thanks for staying us! =)

The main reason is simply location. Bang in old town close to everything you need. Nearly all other hostels are miles away! Perfect for couples, groups but not great for lone travellers as there is almost zero atmosphere! Mama Naxi is lovely and her family is lovely. But you don't feel like a customer i felt like i was staying at my in-laws. Welcomed but uncomfortable at same time.

Just on the edge of old town so perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice food, I only ate western when I was there as I needed a break from rice etc. Warm and confortable dorm. Perhaps not best to meet people but maybe it's the season!

great location, great staff, good atmosphere, great to meet people, nice rooftop, decent dorm rooms. Only 2 issues. 1) Toilets have a lingering smell that never goes away. 2) the food is simply terrible and at maximum simply average. Which is a shame as everything else about the place is spot on. New chefs and menu needed asap. Some legendary spicy kunming noodles would be great! Having said this its still best hostel in kunming and am here again now. Be good if it could fufill its potential!

Very traditional Japanese place. The house, the rooms etc. Atmosphere very relaxed. So perfect if traveling as a couple. Would advise not to stay for any solo travellers. Staff and owner simply amazing. Picked us up from station, helped us navigate the area, gave us tips on what to see etc. Even let us have a bath together downstairs. Sum up a nice relaxing getaway near Kawaguchiko lake. Would stay again for sure!

perfect location. the owners are amazing guys! true backpackers. rooms/tents are comfy, free waffles and toast is a great touch. they had a rooftop party when i was there too. can help you with everything you need. only bad points are the bathroom was filthy and security (except the lockers) was almost non-existent. Highly recommended despite this!
Love the review! We are glad you enjoyed our space. However, we are sorry about the bathroom situation. As an excuse, we were understaffed and our mind might have been occupied with planning the coolest party this town has ever seen. We are actually going to be introducing some single rooms for guests with privacy in their mind, in the fall. You are welcome here anytime. Check out the photos from our rooftop party on our fb page!

Location is perfect! 10 min from airport. Close to all the best restaurants, bars and clubs (2mins). Good breakfast (eggs, toast etc), room was really clean and comfortable. and the iPad in the room was a nice touch! But the best thing about this place is the wonderful staff! So friendly and helpful. My GF was flying in early and we wanted to freshen up so they helped me check in extra early. Gave us directions ro restaurants, helped us organise taxi's and buses. Felt very welcomed! x

Perfect location and I mean perfect. 1 min to beach, markets n restaurants and all the best bars n clubs! Staff are warm, friendly and can help you with anything you need! Decent common room, comfy and private beds. Only downside is the mens bathroom floor was filthy and smelled badly. BUt despite this I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

cool location near hip shops and restaurants. 15 minute walk to all the nightlife. Very very small hostel. beds are comfy. owner really awesome guy, super helpful and knowledgable. 0 atmosphere though so if your by yourself not good for meeting people. only holds 12 or so if you are in a large group you could have the place to yourself. all in all a fairly decent hostel.

Great location. Can't ask for better close to everything you need. One stop to all the nightlife on the subway and a 700-800 yen taxi or 30 minute walk. Clean dorm, good wifi, no atmosphere though. It is a hotel with one dorm room in. Staff are friendly and helpful but limited english! Best option in nagoya for young backpackers!

Amazing location close to everything you need! Really clean, very private dorm bed, lockers, fully equipped kitchen, international parties, decent common room, tons of highly useful travel advice! Wifi decent! BEST THING OF ALL that makes your trip here are the fantastic STAFF! Excellent english. Very knowledgable, highly approachable, warm and friendly. I had an emergency as i didn't book hostel over holiday weekend. She spent 1 hour trying to find me a hotel with look as websites had nothing!
Thank you very much for staying with us. We are pleased that you enjoyed the overall experience of J-Hoppers Hiroshima Guesthouse! We can't wait to see you whenever you travel to Hiroshima!

Best location in tokyo for a HOSTEL. As its impossible to find budget acc in shinjuku n shibuya etc. 2 min from the subway where you can reach Shinjuku, Shibuya and Roppongi in 5 -15 -20 minutes. Staff are super friendly, knowledgable and speak great english. Bed very comfy and totally private. Great atmosphere lots of travellers so really easy to meet people. Common room at top. Everything you need really. STAY THERE

POSITIVES: literally 2 mins away from haad rin beach (full moon beach) but the road itself is quiet so you not sleeping with bass being pumped out 24 hours a day. Has a pc connected to a big tv so you can watch movies etc whenever you want to on hungover mornings and afternoons. The guy that works there is very helpful even if is english is very basic. Very clean and plenty of washrooms. NEGATIVES: not the best atmosphere; not good if your by yourself. The mattress is like a wooden board!
