The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The girl who welcomed me was fantastic, especially with local suggestions. The cafe below the hostel was also really nice - however, a bar is always helpful in meeting friends while travelling. One complaint: too much energy was being wasted to over-air-condition the rooms. However, the biggest problem was cost. Although it was about the city average in price, it was farrrrr too expensive and that's a shame.

Hi Stephen, Thanks so much for taking the time to write a comment! We pride ourselves on our friendly and helpful staff. Although Boston is an expensive city, we are one of the most affordably priced hostels in the area. Our great location often makes up for the cost after just one ride in a Boston cab =) We hope you'll come back for another stay!

The location of this hostel is very inconvenient. After taking the subway several stations outside of the city, you need to walk about 15 minutes to the hostel in a very unwalkable area. They have shuttles going back and forth every half hour, but it's still not ideal. It doesn't really make sense for this hostel to be about the same price as inner city hostels. The staff were mixed quality. The receptionist I dealt with most was generally rude and had an attitude.

we realize we are 4 subway stops from Central Boston. Yet we make up for that with a shuttle every 30 minutes to the subway and we pick up at the subway whenever you call. Our entire staff works very hard to excel at guest services but evidently someone had a bad moment. We realize you are perfect. We hope you enjoyed Boston

This hostel smelled bad, it was quite dirty (almost filthy). Dank. The wifi didn't really work that well but the atmosphere was pretty nice.

Not bad. The staff were a little difficult to deal with or made you wait astounding amounts of time to be serviced. Rooms were nice and clean. Good vibe. Easy wifi access. However, location is really not good for travellers who want to go out at night. Generally, the location is quite bad.
