Converted home with a wonderful family staff. Comfortable rooms with plenty of bathrooms and showers.

Great location for exploring the surrounding wilderness. Facilities are set up and cater to large groups; so be warned. Wifi only works in very limited areas.

Basically an older, well taken care of hotel that has been turned into a hostel. Nice facilities and a lot of room in the common areas

Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the pictures and discription are a bit misleading. The town is quite sleeply with not much to do..The hostel is clean, but old and the upstairs rooms have a damp smell. Adding lockers in rooms would help security rating.

Tom is a great host: friendly and helpful. The hostel is basically staying in a separate part of Tom's house that is new, clean and well equipped. The only downside is that the location is a bit remote. Then again, there is so many spread out sights in Waterford County that having a car is pretty much a must.

Great location from which to explore Glendalough. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were older but well taken care of and clean. However, hot water for showering was non-existent, beds had springs poking you, and there was no free wifi.

It's basically like staying at a resort on a beautiful beach except every is young partiers and you sleep in military style accommodations. If you're looking to hang out by a pool and beautiful beaches during the day and party like crazy at night you can't find better value for the money. Only negative comment: is it really necessary to make people pay for overpriced food/drinks in order to get an Internet voucher for a slow connection?

The staff was friendly and helpful. Ideally located between the main train station and the old town; but the surrounding area is lacking restaurant/bars options. It almost seemed more like a home with rooms rented out rather than a hostel. As more people came, they continued to lay of out more beds on the floors in common areas. We booked based on availability of AC; however, the AC was only in the common room and the upstairs rooms were unbearably hot at night.

Basic place to rest your head at night. Facilities are worn and some are under construction in one wing. The staff performs the necessities but that's about it. Keys are left at reception and there is no storage or safe. The hostel is on a pedestrian road but most of the restaurants and sights are further towards the old city.

Great location with friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The common area has a fully stocked kitchen and basic breakfast. Cafe in the ground floor has a great variety of string coffee.
Hello and thank you for the praises, I am happy you have enjoyed your stay at us. Barbora

Well located and homely with friendly staff. No locks on the room dorms but its a small place with lockers if needed. Staff is friendly and helpful but low-key. More of a place to chill rather than party.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgable; went out there way to make sure you enjoyed your stay and had a good time in Riga. Plenty of bathrooms and showers so you never had to wait. Common room was a good place to meet people but cramped at times since it was divided into multiple rooms. The second room we stayed in on a higher floor was a bit hot and stuffy due to lack of air flow.

Closer walk to downtown than any of the other hostels. There's a supermarket across the street but not too many places to eat close by. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean. However, the common room/kitchen is small and not conductive to meeting to meeting other travelers. Also, there is no wireless access in the rooms.
