Anker Hostel

Oslo, Norway

Location was good. Bed linens not included. No cages or lockers in the rooms for your things...some big lockers available in the lobby ($$) or small lockers (free) in the lobby with your own key to lock your valuables (wallets, passports, ipad- that is about all it will fit). Very little character in the place. Kitchenettes in the rooms (not really useful at all; no microwave or fridge and a weird stove thing. Some of the staff was great while others not so much. Very little chatter in the lobby

Flying Pig Uptown

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Great Hostel! Excellent for meeting people. Staff is super friendly and want you to love the city as much as they do so they really try to help you see and enjoy the city! Free breakfast in the morning was a real benefit. Cages available under the beds for security (bring your own lock). The location is a little further than the red light district but totally walkable (or just take an easy tram) and it is right next to the main park which is amazing to sit in on a beautiful day :)

Wombats City Hostel Berlin

Berlin, Germany

Loved Wombats! Staff was friendly and super helpful with any questions and the bar on the top floor was always fun! Great way to meet people. Lockers available for every bed and there is a key card to open them so you don't even need your own lock. Breakfast was available every morning for about 4 euros, which was great. Wifi does not work in the rooms but in the bar and the lobby.
