Mosaic Hostel

Rome, Italy

Great location close to Termini with excellent staff and facilities. Would stay again.

Hotel Nymphenburg Munich

Munich, Germany

Stayed on the sixth floor with a street facing room. Small but comfortable room for two on any other day, but our stay included an extremely hot stretch of time which, with no AC in the room, made the nights very difficult. Close to a hospital so had quite a bit of siren and road noise as well. Other than that, good breakfast and facilities, gracious staff, and good value for money. Provided the weather was nicer, or AC was added, I would likely stay again.

Wombats City Hostel Munich

Munich, Germany

Excellent hostel for socializing and kicking back after a day of sightseeing. The very hot weather made nights difficult due to no AC in rooms, but otherwise alright. Would likely stay again in another time of year, but not in anything resembling hot weather (35+).

Hotel Eiffel Segur

Paris, France

Great budget accommodation with excellent facilities and close to the Eiffel Tower.

Hotel Jungfrau

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Great place to stay in Lauterbrunnen for not too steep a price. Beautiful views, clean rooms and good facilities. The free bikes also make for a fun way to explore the valley. Would stay again without hesitation.

Milan, Italy

Great value and great facilities. The #9 Tram takes you there from the station and makes accessing the city center easy. Would readily stay here again.

La Zagara

Amalfi, Italy

The best place to stay in the Amalfi Coast region! Salvatore and his wife made our trip to the region better than we could have hoped with recommendations on ferry times, buses, places to eat and what to see. The room and property were beautiful and clean, and the breakfast was also very good. On top of all that, the price was fantastic! I would not hesitate to stay here again, and would recommend La Zagara to anyone wishing to stay in the Amalfi Coast. Thank you both again! - Alex and Connor.

B&B Elena

Pompei, Italy

Great place to stay close to the ruins and not a long walk from the train station. Owner was very helpful and room was very clean and comfortable. If looking for a place to eat in Pompei, go to the fantastic restaurant Add'u Mimi close by.

Really liked this place, though some issues that were out of the owner's control made the stay less than perfect. The toilet separated from the floor and flooded the room, and one night there was a power outage for some time. However, the owner was on scene very quickly to resolve the problems and get everything running smoothly again. Even with those problems, it was still a great place. Close to the Vatican, metro and several restaurants. Would stay again.

Hotel D'Azeglio

Florence, Italy

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Walking distance from all major points of interest, though recommend bus 6A or 6B to get to/from train station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would happily stay again.

Hotel il Moro di Venezia

Venice, Italy

Bathroom smelled awful, like raw sewage. After cleaning the smell would dissipate for a few hours then return. Also noticed large amounts of mold in the bathroom. Overall it did its job as a place to stay and staff was pleasant, but not much else. Was also slightly perturbed by the fact that you had to leave your key and ask for it when you returned. They never checked your ID when reclaiming the key, so not sure how secure that system is.

Hostel Pastoral

Nice, France

Great place to stay close to the old town as well as the train station. Their free walking tour is excellent. Would stay again.

Les Trois Puits

Nimes, France

We arrived much later than planned due to a missed train and were without options for dinner. Caroline, Francis and Jo were kind enough to serve us cheese sandwiches that saved our night. Their compassion, company and facilities are all first rate, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Just note the house isn't in Nimes, but the nearby town of Congènies. Edgard line D41 will get you into town in 40 mins (1.50€), so plan ahead as we did if you have no car. Thanks again all! Alex

Jardin du Sequoia

Bordeaux, France

Fantastic place to stay in Bordeaux that I would readily recommend to anyone. The quality of facilities, amenities and service are far beyond the price charged. Michel, the owner, is a great man to have a chat with and has a wealth of valuable knowledge regarding things to see and do in Bordeaux as well as the surrounding region. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, it was a pleasure.

A clean and inviting place to stay with good atmosphere in the common area. A bit expensive for what you get, but it is Paris. Very close walk to Montmartre and the Jules Joffrin metro station to access the rest of the city.
