Lots of communal areas. Great staff and good fruit at breakfast. The rooms are really spacious and the beds are bigger than normal. Very safe and comfortable feel.

Great views, but a little outside of town. Really rustic feel and very tranquil. Nice bathroom and rooms. Breakfast overpriced but otherwise a very nice get-away.

Really homely hostel. The rooms are large and the bathrooms nice. The staff were incredibly helpful. There was a really nice feel in the hostel in general. It felt very safe, but it was a little further away from the old town's centre than I would have liked.

Really good backpackers hub. It has lots of communal areas and a spacious kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is easy to arrange tours. The location is good and the rooms are quite spacious.

Samba Green Hostel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I absolutely loved my time at Samba Green Hostel. The staff were all wonderful and tried to help in any way they could; they really made you feel like a part of the family. It had a very chilled vibe, but events were available every night often to local nights rather than just the gringo ones (which were also availble if you preferred). The location was pretty good and I always felt really safe in the area This was my favourite hostel so far, after 9 months of travelling around Latin America
