Great hostel, good location, comfy beds, spacious room, very clean bathroom and kitchen. Staff is very nice too. Located close to Checkpoint Charlie, for the price the value is unbeatable

on the plus side, the location is good, 10 min walk from checkpoint Charlie and 15 from Potsdam square. Rooms are relatively spacious (I stayed in a 8-bed dorm) and clean.Bathrooms are also clean. There is a common room with billiards tables. Computers&breakfast (both for additonal charge). On the minus side, the staff was not friendly, no kitchen, not even microwave, so be prepared to eat out all the time or survive on sandwiches. Lots of corridors to walk, like a labyrith. Wifi awful in room.

Staff and location are good (close by to attractions, restaurants etc). I stayed in a 6 dorm room, there was only 1 key for 6 people so not very practical or secure. Not so much of an atmosphere, they promote a cafe on the rooftop but it was empty, only staff watching tv. The cleanliness was less than average, bathrooms were disgusting. Wifi works so-so, almost non-existent in the dorm. No common room or kitchen really, some tables inside and outside (good for smokers :))

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights and it was quite a contradictory experience. In the beginning, I found that the staff was very reserved, almost unpleasant, they wouldn't address a word to me but on my second day they started warming up towards me and it got better. The location is excellent though, close to all the main sights and 5 min from the tram stop. Very safe too, walked around alone at night and felt comfortable. Clean, dorms spacious and comfy, breaky is average, no key for rooms

Good hostel and excellent value for money. If you are looking for a nice, quiet and clean place to stay, this is your place. The staff is great, very pleasant and helpful. Facilites are good too (kitchen, common room, small yard with a table outside). Don't expect something very modern though. The hostel is located in a small typical house close to the city center of Bucharest. If you are looking for a party hostel, this is not the place but definitely a nice one for a good night rest and sleep.

good hostel, a bit far from the center but still ok, common areas and reception are recently renovated, but not dorms. No locks on the door to enter the dorm but have lockers to keep your stuff. Staff was very nice and friendly, great atmosphere. Kitchen, terrace, good wifi. I paid 6€ for a bed, so the value is excellent

Quite a nice hostel, though would be better if they fixed the sliding door in the dorm i was staying as it made too much noise at night. Other than that, good facilities, friendly staff, good value for money.

Sant Jordi Hostels Rock Palace, Barcelona, Spain

3rd Mar 2014

A great hostel, a brand new one, everything is amazingly clean and very convenient. Staff is nice, good vibe may be a little too much of loud music in the evening in the lounge (at least in the beginning of my stay) but then they got better at it and everything was perfect. And after all, it's a Rock Palace so I guess music is a must. I personally found dorms very quiet even if I stayed in a 8 bed mixed one. Had very good sleep there. Excellent facilities, terrace, spacious kitchen.

the staff was nice& very helpful but my room had quite an unpleasant smell, cleanliness of bathrooms is average, there are not enough lockers for everyone even if the hostel was not full. Central location, make ur own pancakes in the morning, free tea, coffee, water.

Very good value for money, free tea&coffee, cookies, popcorn, evening hot veg snacks, free shuttle to the airport & beach. staff is not always nice, some are quite rude. Located in a dingy area, would not walk around alone at night, but lots of cheap eats around, supermarket, shops within walking distance. Very clean, sheets&towels changed every day even in the dorm. Direct busses to downtown&hollywood, have pros&cons but for the money defo worth it.

Cowgate Tourist Hostel, Edinburgh, Scotland

25th Sep 2013

Good location close to the city center but rooms facing Cowgate str can be quite noisy due to the proximity of 3 Sisters (closes at 3am but noise usually till 4 am). The hostel is quite clean, the rooms as well as common areas. Pity there is no common room so people have to hang out in the kitchen which is pretty small. Free wifi was working good around the hostel and in the room. Two free to use computers in the lobby. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good hostel but I don't really get the 90smth % rating. It's not better than other hostels I stayed in. The size of the dorm is ok, everything is clean. Common area could be bigger, not enough space for everyone especially in the evening. Kitchen is quite small too. Breakfast is ok (juice, cereal, bread, butter, homemande jam), if you want cheese and ham you have to wake up early because it's all gone by 8am and not refilled. Modern design with metal furniture and doors , can be noisy and loud

To start on the bright side, the location is excellent, the street is quiet and safe. The room and the shower/toilet were clean but small. The major drawback is the absence of common area so you can only stay inside your room, no possibility of socializing, no kitchen neither (not even a micro wave or kettle). There is a bar downstairs but you have to buy drinks to hang out there. Wifi is expensive but a cheap internet café next door. Yet good value for money, I paid 12€ for a bed in 6 bed dorm.
