Super Clean hostel and really good beds (I stayed in the dorm rooms). Glauco will definitely make you feel welcome and go out of his way to show you what the town has to offer, where is good and worth checking out. Great cooking facilities and even a BBQ, with a great chill out lounge inside and also outside on the terrace. If you are going through Peniche for a short stop or for longer and looking for surf, I would definitely recommend West Hostel.
Need to update the access to the building, or at least change the codes once a month for the front door as well as the rooms, we had long term guests knowing the code for our room, so would enter as they please. From chats with people in the hostel, stuff went missing often, but just used the lockers and had no issues personally. Kitchen is ok to use, but needs a massive clean, the fridge had a sour milk smell for days until a cleanup was done. It is cheap for London and close to shops & rail.
You will need a car to stay here and get the best out of San Sebastian. The place is clean and new though, good value for money in the area.
Stayed for 2 months, staff are all very chatty, helpful and friendly. Kitchen is one of the best I've found in a hostel, good atmosphere and easy to meet people. They are big on keeping the place clean, there's ample showers and toilets around. Mattresses are comfy but beds can be creaky. Close to supermarket, and just a short walk to most of the main places in BCN. Would highly recommend this hostel.
Location is nice, the hostel is clean and facilities seem okay. The staff were fine in my short stay here, the atmosphere is cosy. Would stay at again.
Nice kitchen and comfortable rooms, all the showers I had turned off every 10 or so seconds and there is no way to control the heat at all, so goes from freezing to way too hot in about 1.5 - 2 minutes. Overall the hostel was clean, safe and located in a nice area with shops close and the metro close by. Staff were ok, but were quite rude to some of the guests at times. I didn't have any issues with them though, so just going on what I saw. The provided breakfast is okay.
Super clean hostel, rooms were very good and spacious. The best equipped kitchen I have seen in a hostel, ended up cooking every night. The bar is open from 19:00 to midnight and is a great place to hang out in the evenings, as is the outside courtyard. The other connecting common areas are great as well. Located close to the city centre, you'll need to train it in but its close by. Staff were excellent as well, very helpful and good sense of humour. Breakfast was nice. Will stay here again.
Great location, staff, kitchen facilities and rooms. Did the walking tour with Kristian, which is great, actually all the social events organised by the hostel and Kristian were very well done. The common areas are great as well, I cannot really fault anything here during my stay of 5 nights. Did the pub crawl, which was fun, the staff were able to show us good places to eat and bars to go to as well as places to check out during the day. Stay here if you are going to Prague.
Bit more of a hotel feel compared to a hostel, lots of school kids staying there during my stay. Comfortable beds and rooms are large (8bed dorm), very clean overall, good kitchen if you are looking to cook for yourself. Common areas are really just the outdoor courtyard that was pretty quiet. Staff are good, location is good, vibe is a bit lacking, seems to cater to more of the group tourist crowd opposed to solo travellers, so depends on what you are after in your stay, I would recommend.
Room was very cramped (8bed dorm) it was pretty hot already in Autumn, on cooler days, need fans or AC. The only storage is underbed lockers which block the walkway when pulled out. Hostel was still under some construction so no kitchen facilities, but the bar is ok, the cafe at the front is good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is a bit lacking, seems a bit like a budget hotel than a hostel. But it is clean and located in a nice area to explore Berlin from.
Atmosphere in the common areas is a bit lacking as its just everyone on wifi (unable to get it in the rooms), but the bar is nice, breakfast buffet is good value as well. Lots of busabout (aussie) tourists, so depending on the crowd, the people staying there can be a bit hit or miss. Hostel itself is very clean, staff are good, location is obviously central. Pity there was no fridge or kitchen to use, just a microwave, which limits options if you do want to cook for yourself.
Clean rooms, great common areas, good social events run by the hostel, and friendly helpful staff. Walkable distances to everywhere you wanna go in Riga. A great few days and I ended up extending my stay. Staff were able to show us some great places to eat and things to do in Riga. The common areas are comfortable and a good place to mingle with other travellers. Highly recommend this hostel to anyone going to Riga.
Location of the hostel is is old town and pretty close to everything. Compared to other places I've stayed at, I found the staff to be a bit slack in comparison, e.g. check in took a while. The atmosphere was not too great, rooms were ok, but not as clean as some of the others in Tallinn. Showers and Toilets did smell a bit like mould, and are in need of a good clean. Laundry facilities are at one of the sister hostels, which is not an issue unless you need to get it done asap.
Small hostel with a nice cosy atmosphere, good kitchen and common area, which was great for meeting fellow travellers. Beds are very comfortable, and rooms are a decent size so you never feel crammed in. Staff were really helpful and able to recommend places to see and things to do in Helsinki. Overall the hostel was nice and clean and located near shops to get food or cafe's if you want to grab something out.
Great hostel. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, my dorm had a kitchen (6bed dorm), although i didnt cook during my stay it seemed well set up, there is also a fridge in the room. Staff were great, heaps of activities organised by the hostel, which were all great. Good atmosphere in the common area and attached cafe. Rent bikes and Longboards right at the reception as well. Disappointed I was only able to stay for 3 nights at this hostel, before I left Stockholm. I Highly recommend this hostel.
Great Location, staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the hostel is great, the free dinner in the common area (if you can get it) is good, and a good way to meet other travellers. The bar gets nice and busy later on. Good common area during the day as well, the beanbags on the street just outside the hostel are a nice place to just chill and read or have a drink during the day. Rooms were clean, but pretty hot (6 bed dorm) as the windows only just crack open, need fans in summer.
Nice location in Amsterdam, just a short walk to all spots in the central area of the city. Check in is in the coffee shop downstairs, so if you dont like the coffee shops in Amsterdam, it may be better to check out somewhere else, as this is a big part of the hostel. On that note, the weed is good. Rooms are clean and there are lockers to use, only thing is there is just the coffee shop to chill out in and no common area outside of the shop front.
Good location, rooms and beds seem comfortable enough. Staff were friendly and able to assist me with the questions I had. Onsite bar was a nice addition, and the breakfast was basic but was adequate. The atmosphere was lacking a bit at this hostel, as a solo traveler it is not too easy to meet people staying at the hostel, unless you are in the bar.
