St Christopher's in general are pretty good pubs but lousy hostels. The room was stinking hot and the staff reckoned we could turn it off our end but none of us had a spanner. Their common room was kitchenless and small, and why do these hostels have one temperature springy push button showers? They are the most irritating things to use ever. If I was you I would avoid this place, and London in particular, but I'm not you, so feel free to make up your own mind
For quite a big hostel this place feels homely. The place was packed with people so it's very easy to meet others. However the breakfast finishes way too early considering 99% of people are hungover in the morning, and "extras" like safes and lockers cost money. The showers are pretty dodgy as well. But on the whole, a pretty good place to stay
A cool little villa, the mother is hilarious but will show you the villa and cooks really well (with no English, but that adds to her charm). They also put on a great breakfast and dinner. Although I booked a 4 bed dorm it was quite nice to receive a room with 2 beds of which 1 was unoccupied. The walk from town is quite a hike and from the bus station is quite a way uphill, but it is definitely the most affordable place in Dubrovnik.
I really liked this place, the staff were fantastic and although not a huge amount of guests, the ones I met were all really nice. The hostel also gives a great walking tour of Cluj and the coffee and cake session with some of the staff is a great wake up in the morning. The place has a real family feel and the staff will be happy to do anything with you. Good rooms and amenities as well.
Another nothing sort of a place with wooden staff. All they need to do is show some interest towards the guests and be a bit more friendly instead of sitting behind the computer and making giving advice seem like a chore. The place had a good kitchen and wifi but the rooms weren't all that clean and the place was close to being a dump.
There weren't many people around in this hostel, which meant the staff were extra nice and accommodating. I didn't realise before I had booked that the place was meat and alcohol free, but it didn't really matter in the end. One guy gave me a free lunch when I told him I had missed breakfast, and surprisingly for a vegetarian meal it was really good! Rijeka however is a dull port city that should be avoided, so this place makes a good stopover.
A fantastic family run hostel, Miran the owner is incredibly friendly, his tour is a great way to experience Mostar and surrounds, I would highly recommend this hostel
Dull hostel, sort of there as a last minute type place in peak season as it will get you a bed, and the staff don't desperately want to help you; they're the type that sit behind a desk acting all wooden.
Really fun place to stay, met a great range of travellers, the staff were very friendly and suggested many things to do, the happy hour has very cheap drinks ( although they need a system to keep them cold as people were drinking them really fast and they kept stocking the fridge with warm ones) and free BBQ nights were a hit
Pretty good place, the atmosphere is lacking, and god help you if you get on the absinthe one night, come home late and be in absolute pain in the morning, you will get cleaners at 11:01 pulling you out of bed and getting you to move, even though I was sure I had booked another night in the same room. However the place is pretty central and the boredom of the front bar makes you look around the fantastic city of Berlin
Nice hostel, good rooms, not many people around and it was probably too big, but not too bad if you know what you want to do in Glasgow
Nice place, pretty quiet, but good base to explore Edinburgh. If you have a car though there is b*****all free parking in Edinburgh and we paid a fortune in parking fines in front of the hostel.
Very fun hostel, the downstairs bar and smoking room have a fantastic atmosphere conducive of meeting new people, a great place if you want to smoke weed as well, and being right across the road from Vondelpark is perfect on summer's days. I wouldn't stay here if you want peace and quiet and don't like stairs or busabout clients (essentially young Aussies) but for us it was brilliant!
Really nice hostel, especially coming from Paris where the hostels are s***, the staff are friendly, the rooms were good and the downstairs area really nice and met many good people. The breakfast is adequate (would be nice if it were complimentary) and the lockout is very annoying and unnecessary. Utrecht really is a hidden gem under the shadow of Amsterdam and being only an hour away I thoroughly enjoyed it!
