Funk Lounge

Really gorgeous facilities, was one of the last places we stayed on our trip, so it felt very luxurious compared to some of the other hostels we'd been in. They've got pub crawls and things every night, staff is helpful, daily trips to the Plitvice Lakes for about 200 Kuna, overall really really well organized. If you're looking for something right downtown Zagreb, though, know that this hostel is about a 15 minute tram ride away from the square.

The woman who runs the hostel is very nice and helpful, but know that she looks after her granddaughter and won't show up if the kid is sleeping, so if you have to check in early in the morning, be prepared to wait for her. Other than that great, location was close to everything and it was very clean. A wonderful shower, which is a welcome treat from most hostels!

Location was great! Really central to everything you'll want to see in Sarajevo. The staff was kind. The rooms were a little dark and damp. Great common room! The atmosphere as far as meeting people goes was pretty poor. Over all an average place in a fabulous location!

Clean, affordable, located just a few streets from republic square and the pedestrian street. The staff is so sweet, willing to bend over backwards for you. We were even lucky enough to get free breakfast and dinners! Great hostel!

Atlantis Hotel Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki, Greece

More like a hotel than a hostel. The staff was very helpful, had some issues with English but was friendly and accommodating nonetheless! We didn't go out in Thessaloniki at all, as we just had a layover for an early bus, but it was a fairly central location. Over all cheap, and clean. But if you're looking for a good shower look elsewhere, the bathrooms were a little questionable.

Stavros Villas

Santorini, Greece

Our experience at Stavros Villas was amazing!!! Stavros immediately adopted us as "his daughters" and catered to every need we had, he and his real daughters were beyond accommodating. For 5 Euro/day he had breakfast waiting for us when we got up, and the rooms were cleaned well while we ate. As for location, it was perfect for us, just outside of the busyness of Fira, but still quite central. Rent a car/ATV and you won't have a care in the world. Would stay here again without a doubt!
