All of the rooms are single/doubles. Definately opporates more as a hotel, staff supper friendly and accommodating, but not the best place for socializing outside of those you travel with. Excellently stocked kitchens and wifI in each of the rooms! About a twenty five minute walk to the city center and a ten minute walk to a train station.
Excellently stocked kitchen! Staff friendly and place was clean. Lockers available were very small. Great location, about a block and a half from the train station. Lots of games and movies available in the lounge.
Room security was great with coded access, but there was very limited locker space in the room, six lockers for fifteen beds. The fifteen bed dorm is five triple bunk beds. Wifi access in rooms and lounge was good. Limited kitchen access, so it was difficult for us to fill our water bottles since they were not supposed to do so at the bar. Pretty good location about three blocks from an underground station.
This is definitely a party hostel. The walls are a bit thin and you could feel and hear each and every time someone opened or slammed a door. A great bar atmosphere and lots of awesome people. A really good bathroom to bed ratio.
Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. They did not come to clean the trash in our room for all three nights we stayed there, and it was already full to start with. The atmosphere was such that you only meet people in your room. This place is RIGHT next to the train station, great location!
This is a great location. The hill is a bit of a pain, but only when you are lugging all of your stuff with you. The only downside for me was the showers were sloped on the top floor, but you can go down a few floors for easier showering. The wifi was great, got it even on the top floor!
A great location for adventure sports and hiking; booking for adventure sports can be done through the hostel! You can use the facilities associated with the Balmer's franchise, which is only a ten minute walk away. The showers were super hot, and the hot tub after a long day of hiking was perfect! Stuff stayed dry even when it rained. Waking up to a view of the Alps was the icing on the cake!
If you are only looking for a bed then this is the place for you. There is NO laundry or wifi, and practically no kitchen utensils. The room was up seventy five steep steps, which was fine, but there was so much that was advertised that was false. One of the bedrooms is also the common room and dining room; people must go through it to get to the next bedroom. One bathroom for ten people means someone is taking a cold shower. Finally, the staff consists of one terse guy.
The wifi did not work with any apple products and was poor otherwise, luckily they had two computers to use for quick check of email, ect. Busy common areas, and decently equipped kitchen, except for cups.
The hostel is close to the metro, about two blocks away, and not too far from the Eiffle tower, about a twenty minute walk. The lockers were small. Overall it is a cute hostel in a good location. I would stay there again.
The ROOM has a neat vibe, and each room has its own theme. It has been one of my favorite hostels that I have stayed at. The hostel is about a fourteen minute walk to the train station and close to the river. The laundry is a bit slow, but the staff were extremely helpful.
There was a nice cafe attached to the hostel, and their postal service was excellent. They have good security for entering the hostel, but nothing for the the larger dorms. People tended to hang out in the cafe. Definitely an interesting vibe.
The free food was a great deal! The location was awesome, but we went when there were not a lot of people there so the atmosphere was down, and the staff were just proficient enough to get by in English. Internet was only available in the public space; also the food did not include very much with respect to fruit and vegetables.
