Bassetto Guesthouse

Florence, Italy

This hostel is the best I've stayed at in my two months of travel. They didn't have toilets that flushed themselves, or leave mints on your pillows but it is a sweet retreat from average hostel life. It's an old winery that was built in the 1400's. you stay in the actual rooms that monks did on their pilgrimage to Cambridge. So much history. And Haley is wonderful. She makes you feel at home for sure. We are now Facebook friends. Soooo worth it. (About a 30 min walk from certaldo train station)

Hostel Termini

Rome, Italy

The staff were super accommodating. Very helpful in transportation. They even dropped us at the train station when we missed our bus for free! Wonderful! The only thing is there is a bell tower across the street that dings in the morning... Even at night sometimes. Other than that... Truly wonderful.

PLUS Camping Jolly

Venice, Italy

The tents were pretty nice. Electrical outlets in the tents, transportation to the town is 6 euro day minimum bc it's an island an have to take the "ppl mover" both ways after the shuttle drops you off/ picks you up. Wifi was slow, but pool/ restaurant was really ncoe.
