Katerina And John Hotel

Santorini, Greece
100%

Our stay here was soo enjoyable we came back again after visiting Ios! The staff are just brilliant. John will pick you up from the port for free at any time and then take you back again when you want to leave. Great location. 5 min walk to the beaches (best on the island). Great pool and chill out area. Amazing 24hr bakery across the road which has the best food. There's also an atv rental place next door which is a must to explore the island. STAY HERE

Aristoteles Hotel

Athens, Greece

Very unfriendly and rude staff except for one nice lady at reception. Weren't given what we booked and when we approached the reception for help they seem bothered and didn't offer much assistance. Quite a long walk to main area at the bottom of acropolis where all the nightlife and day activities are centred. Very poor breakfast. Bad, depressing atmosphere.

PLUS Camping Roma

Rome, Italy

Very good value for money. Pool, bathrooms, restaraunt and supermarket are all very modern and exactly what you'd want. Just a bit far out of the main part of Rome and buses to and from are so irregular. Last bus back is 12am which is a bummer.

Camping Serenissima

Venice, Italy
100%

Can't begin to describe how AMAZING this place is. Perfect for anyone who is looking for affordable and great value for money accomodation a short distance from the centre of Venice. I have to express my thanks to the staff (specifically M.Chiara) for helping me with anything i needed and helping return valuables that i left behind. Great facilities: everythings clean, kitchen available, supermarket on site and great bathrooms! Couldn't be happier. Made my stay in Venice incredible! Thankyou!!

Hostel Feldkirch

It was a perfect location for us to access Leichtenstein and Switzerland by bike. The staff helped us out a lot with everything we needed. BUT the atmosphere was pretty appauling. Dont be surprised if you're put in a room with people old enough to be your grandparents who go to bed at 9pm and expect the lights to stay off and no noise...awkward.

The Tent Munich

Munich, Germany

Pretty sweet place. It was a good change from your usual hostel dorm. Great atmosphere with everyone chatting, playing music around the campfire and playing ping pong etc. Especially good for arty folk but still good if you're not like me. Eveyone is quiet after 1am but expect to be worken up pretty early in the mornings. Had everything - kitchen, bar, breakfast (not free), ping pong tables, sports equipment for hire etc. Short tram ride to centre of Munich and they come frequently.

Haus Christine

Salzburg, Austria

This place is perfect if you want to experience the serenity of the surrounding hills and not necessarily the city life of salzburg (although we did catch a short train or bus ride in to see salzburg on one day). Its really the best of both worlds. Christine and her husband are lovely.

Great atmosphere for young people to hang out. Has a kitchen and a tv/ lounge room to watch movies with others. Hostel organises a day of rafting down the river through cesky krumlov stopping off at riverside bars on the way. Pretty cool place.

Hostel One Home

Prague, Czech Republic
100%

One of my favourite hostels in all of my months travelling across europe. They really do make you feel at "home" as the staff are brilliant. Very sociable place especially because they provide FREE dinner as opposed to breakfast so that everyone gathers at night time and then goes out together. The staff organises nights out every night. Just stay here and you'll get what I mean.

Grand Hostel Berlin

Berlin, Germany
77%

We were quite disappointed with the atmosphere at this place. As berlin is party central we wanted a hostel with staff that make a better effort to organise nights out that people actually take to. Downstairs bar is ok to talk to other travelers sometimes. Not social enough, more like a hotel.

Stayokay Amsterdam Zeeburg

Amsterdam, Netherlands
57%

This place was OK but the atmosphere really let it down, considering its amsterdam were talking about! No activities going on at night and not very fun down in the bar. What made things worse was people over 40 staying in our dorm room and kids and families eveywhere. Too far from the main action as well. Have to get a tram to go anywhere cool. Dont stay here if you want to party or meet people.

Carpe Noctem Vitae

Budapest, Hungary
100%

From the moment my boyfriend and I arrived until the moment we left, the staff were accomodating, helpful and enthusiastic. There was a great social atmosphere throughout the hostel and it seemed everyone there was keen for a chat and to share a drink. There was something on every night which we loved. So glad we stayed at carpe because it made Budapest that much better!
