great atmosphere, great people, lots of amenities set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Alps. Location is great - There's some places near the hostel, otherwise about a ten minute walk to the main road. The hostel offers free breakfast, a free bus ticket, a restaurant and bar (with free drink coupon), hammocks, nightclub, booking for outdoor activities (great convenience!). Private room had sink, never had to wait for shared toilet or shower and always found them clean.
This is a very large hostel in South London. Modern building. Wifi in common areas. Rooms are small. We had a private, 2 twin room with bathroom (therefore cannot attest to the shared bathroom concerns I've read in other reviews). Nice outdoor grass area to sit in. Surprisingly nice market attached to the gas station across the street. A few negatives - location too far south in my opinion. Neighborhood isn't much (no shops/restaurants). Very hot in summer; windows only partially open/no AC
Booked a private room for two nights in July: Pros 1) Location - right next to Trinity College and Temple Bar - the whole city is easily walkable. Had room over the street but noise is not bad 2) ensuite bathroom Cons 1) 4th floor room during an incredibly hot and sunny stretch - very hot with no fan/AC making sleep difficult. But, that's not really typical Dublin weather. 2) wifi only in common area 3) building is older and could use some sprucing up
