-GREAT LOCATION; quite easy to find; our twin bed room was comfortable. -although listed in the facilities, there was no 'kitchen' (only 2 microwaves, one of which was broken and a fridge on each floor, both unclean and cramped and the food was not signed). There weren't enough cutlery or kitchen utensils available so it was almost impossible to cook a meal. -there wasn't any washing up liquid so we had to use handwash to wash up (in the bathroom sink!) -the sink in our room was blocked
The staff were REALLY kind and helpful. We weren't given a main door key, so the staff had to open the door every time so no strangers could enter. There weren't any lockers so our bags were just lying in the common room after we'd checked out on our last day. The location was great, we were RIGHT in the main market square (although the house itself was old and run down). The bathrooms and the kitchen smelt a bit and our private room didn't have a window, which felt like sleeping in the box.
The hostel is 10-15 minutes away from the city centre, but there is a direct bus and it was nice to see the outskirts of Krakow. The directions were very clear, although the hostel could be better signposted (on the bus stop and so on). The staff were really helpful, they organised a tour to Auschwitz for us and were always on hand to answer our requests and questions. There were also 2 nice restaurants nearby with delicious food! We would definitely recommend this hostel.
We stayed in a private room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and we enjoyed the free breakfast provided. The staff that we spoke to were very kind and helpful, even giving us a 10% student discount which wasn't mentioned on the website. Although the hostel isn't located in the centre, there are direct transport links which made our trips very easy. Our only request is for better directions to the hostel. Thank you for a great stay in Warsaw!
The hostel was very easy to find and close to the old town. The staff, however, seemed rather indifferent and unwilling to help, and the hostel inside, including in our room, was quite dark. There were no free maps available when we arrived, our bed had some broken panels so it wasn't very comfortable, although it was spacious and close to the bathroom, and the wifi signal was very weak. Although the price for our room was reasonable, if we come back to Gdansk we will not stay at this hostel.
We were welcomed to HMH by our kind and knowledgeable hostess (Lina). We had a very cozy room with a view of the All Saints church. The location is great, HMH is situated right in the city centre, a 10 minute walk from the bus and train stations. There was a toilet close to our room on the top floor and a toilet and shower on the ground floor, all clean and fully equipped with toilet paper, handwash, etc. The atmosphere was very friendly, it was very nice to talk to other guests. Recommended!
