Yoho was clean and well staffed. There was a good kitchen in the basement, wifi in all the rooms, sturdy bunks, and electronic lockers in the rooms. The sound of music movie each night was enjoyable and you could order some great pizza and fries to eat during it. Also had a great free walking tour and trails close by. Only thig that was difficult was the lack of sockets to charge things.
I had trouble finding jacks hostel. If u come out of the train station and don't see it immediately, you came out the wrong side. The area around the hostel is a little rough but it's only a 15 minute walk to the city center. The showers made a massive puddle on the floor, and smelled faintly of mold. The kitchen was great and had a dishwasher. There was wifi in all the rooms and staff were very helpful. You get what you pay for.
The hostel is kinda hard to find as it's tucked into a little hallway. There r only 3 showers for 2 rooms of 16 bed dorms. The lockers do not work all the time. There is a tiny kitchen though and wifi in the whole building. It's alright for the price.
This hostel was my favorite so far of those I've stayed in. It was clean, beautiful decor, looked like a hotel with a hostel atmosphere of friendliness. The rooms had individual beds with sockets, reading lights, and secure closets. They were also spacious and most had their own bathrooms. The staff offered us a glass of water first off the bat, and were amazingly helpful with transportation, tours, and local food. Great place. About a twenty minute walk from the main city sights.
Only wifi in reception and if you are on the fourth floor have fun hauling your luggage up a steep flight of stairs. The showers are not adjustable for temperature and only stay on as long as you push the button. However the staff were great. They upgraded us for free to a 6 bed female dorm just so my friend and I could stick together.
The first floor suite smelled of mold and the beds were really squeaky. There was knly two power sockets for a room of six people. There was only wifi in reception. On the plus side, they were a two minute walk from the royal mile and a supermarket. The kitchen was great and quite clean. Staff were amazingly helpful and had good info. You get what you pay for.
