We stayed here for 3 nights and it is a perfect place to explore New York. There is a subway station right next to the appartment which makes it very easy to go to Manhattan. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back here!
The room was really nice and big, but the way the staff was working was a bit inconvenient. The doorbell was not working so you had to knock all the time and sometimes the stay was at the other house, because they have 2 locations (the private rooms are at the other side of the street), so than you had to wait or walk to the other street (like 20 sec walk). We had a tv in our room and there was a dvdplayer in the comon area, but they were both not working.
It's kind of the cheapest place in town, so you shouldn't expect to much from it. We liked the fact that we had airco, but our sheets didn't look to clean. We could have asked for new ones probably.. The breakfast is nice (but a bit small) and the location is great. The staff is always there to help you.
Really nice place to start what ever trip you're thinking off around this area (like the Ciudad Perdida hike), but you can also just stay here and go nowhere, since they have a swimmingpool, a nice restaurant and happy hour at the bar during the night! (extra credit for the nice paintings on the walls)
Best hostel/place/location for chilling out! Don't take the pasta pesto, it is really pasta with only pesto (a full jar). We liked the rest of the food.
Good location with an outside and inside chilling area
Here you stay at the family house with a nice big roof terrace, but there are no kitchen facilities. We liked the location because it's just between old town and mariscal.
Nice place with a big chilling area, but it's all open so we had to sit with our jackets on.. Great for surfing as well
It's a cheap place to stay, with a really nice breakfast (changes every day!). The owner is nice and helpfull, but he get's a bit grumpy when he finds out that you booked a trip somewhere else. But in the end the prices (for instance Lake 69) are the same everywhere, so you can as well book it at the hostel.
This is a really big old boulding, so it looks nice. While we were there, there were not a lot off people, so it was a bit quiet. We only stayed 1 night so we can't say much more, but the location was really great for sure.
We really liked our stay here. It's the biggest hostel I've ever seen, but still they manage to make your stay cosy and fun. They have a big bar, so it's a good place for partying and chilling, but since it is so big, we didn't really hear the music in our room :). The beds are really good as well, with wooden boards around a part of the bed and everybody has its own small light. IMPORTANT: do you wanne book a trip to machu picchu or what so ever, do it here!
It's a nice hostel but we were kind of the only ones at the time we were there. Make sure you rent a heater, because since the rooms are in the shade all the time, the rooms are reeeaally cold!
El Albergue is located right in the centre and it is a nice place to stay, but if you are looking for partying and a chilling area, that's not here. But we're a couple so we liked our stay alot. They have a beautiful view from the roof teras and the house itself is beautiful as well. The owners don't speak english, but they try to help you anyway and they have somebody comming over for booking trips. We booked our Colca Canyon trip here and it was awesome!
This is a really nice place to stay. We really liked the chilling area and the swimming pool!
