This hostel was fine- it was located close to the train station for easy sightseeing but the neighbourhood was really seedy and I did not feel comfortable walking around at night. The rooms where average with buck beds and just one overhead light which was a pain and all the plugs in one area. Breakfast was available for four euros. The storage room was left open at all times and anyone could get into the building so it didnt feel very secure. Overall it was ok.
This hostel was nice. It was located a bus ride away from the centre of town but the bus was very easy to use. They have a lot of reasonable priced double rooms so it was nice to get a beak from the dorm style rooms. There is no kitchen but a very reasonable breakfast and dinner you can buy as while as a nice bar. All the rooms had fans which is a necity in august. Overall a nice hostel to stay in during a visit to florence.
The location of this hostel was very good. It was an easy walk from the train station, a bit difficult to find, but a very central location. The curfew and lock out period well understandable where a bit of a pain. We stayed in a 4 bedroom dorm, it was a large room with a sink inside and a bathroom across the hall. The hostel overall was not very noisy which was nice. It was also in a quiter part of Venice which was nice. The hostel and the area around the hostel seemed very safe.
