Lobo Inn, Tulum, Mexico
8.0
25th May 2016

Lobo Inn is a nice hostel very close to the Tulum ruins and cenotes. The rooms were very comfortable and the 24 hour AC was a real bonus! The communal kitchen was well stocked and the free breakfast was good. The hostel rent out bikes for free which is extremely necessary as it's a good distance out of the main town and from the beach. Also quite quiet at this time of year as its low season so lacked atmosphere a little.

This is a really nice hostel close to the main tourist areas of San Cris. The staff here are very welcoming and the cleaners work 24/7 to keep the place tidy. The beds were comfortable and made fresh everyday. The free breakfast was very good and free drinking water was a massive bonus. The atmosphere here was pleasant, not a party vibe at all. Lots of private rooms here so not always easy to meet other solo travellers. That being said I would definitely stay here again!

This is the best hostel in Mexico! The staff here are fantastic and really make an effort to socialise with the guests. There are restuarants and bars (Revolucion) close by but also a huge kitchen if you want to cook. The outdoor bar area is great for meeting people! Pool is lovely! Beautiful beach close by but only 10 minute taxi if you want to visit Zicatela beach. The only down side would be the heat in the rooms at night, could do with AC but wasn't unbearable. Would 100% recommend this one!

I loved this hostel! The location is perfect for exploring Oaxaca by foot and the hostel also assist in booking tours to surrounding places. I stayed in the 12 bed dorm and it was quiet and comfortable. Can be a little hot in the room but there were fans. The communal kitchen is a big plus and wasvery well stocked. The breakfast also amazing. The rooftop area was lovely and a really great place to meet other travellers. The whole hostel had a really fun atmosphere! Would stay here again!

This is a great hostel! It's close walking distance to the shops and Zocalo and there is a metro station round the corner for visiting other areas. The rooftop area was great for socialising and meeting other travellers and the beer was cheap. Rooms are all extemly clean and have en suite bathrooms. The breakfast each morning is amazing! The kitchen area is a little cramped but is well stocked if you want to cook. Would definitely recommend!

Overall this is a good hostel - it's very clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked etc. It's closer to the airport, however it's very far away from the main tourist area of La Candelaria meaning not many people stay there. During my stay I was 1 of only 2 guests staying in the whole hostel which was a bit strange and uncomfortable. Needs more atmosphere!

We stayed in the B&B for 2 nights in a 3 bed private room and found he price very reasonable. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfy with lots of duvets and blankets to keep you warm. The shower was hot at times although was difficult to stabilise the temperature. The hostel next door is very sociable and has a great selection of food available. Free beers after 8pm are also a great addition. The atmosphere was lively - would definitely recommend staying here.

Jodanga Backpackers Hostel, Santa Cruz, Bolivia

We stayed here for one night and we did not want to leave! The hostel has great facilities - the pool is fantastic and a great place to relax especially with the heat and humidity of Santa Cruz. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable too. The also have a bar selling cheap beers and cocktails at happy hour. The only downside would be the location of the hostel - it is approx 20/25 mins walk from the centre which is not pleasant in such hot weather. I would definitely stay here again!

We'd read some very average reviews for this hostel however we were left pleasantly surprised! The hostel has a great atmosphere and the outdoor patio area is great for socialising. The staff are very very kind and helpful - one friend had her bag stolen and they helped by phoning the embassy and translating at the police station etc. The cleaners are also great and the place is always spotless. The only downside would be the lack of breakfast but the kitchen is well stocked so not a huge deal.

We were disappointed with this hostel - the pictures made it look fantastic however there was very little atmosphere and the bar was never open! We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and the room was very small. There was only 1 bathroom upstairs which was ridiculous considering the size of the hostel. The shower water always spilled to the floor and remained wet for the whole day. The 'pool' was also out of order. The upside would be the tours that they offer - lots of choice and great companies.

The staff at the hostel are fantastic - I became ill during my stay and the lovely female receptionist translated all my symptoms and directed my to the best doctor! We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and the room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. There was not a huge amount of atmosphere in the hostel but that can be expected of a hostel in Patagonia. The kitchen was well stocked and the TV and DVD room was great for a chill out. Would definitely recommend this hostel!!

15th Oct 2015

This was our absolute favourite hostel in Argentina! The place has such a cosy and relaxed feeling and the staff are kind and helpful. The dorm room was fairly small but the beds are comfortable and warm. The shared bathroom was great (hot showers) and the cleaners were always hard at work. The breakfast was basic (bread, jams, tea, coffee) but was excellently presented which really made a difference! The hostel also offer lots of tours which is great. Close walking distance to the town too.

Hostel Park Iguazu, Puerto Iguazu, Argentina

10th Oct 2015

This hostel was very basic - small dorm rooms and en suite bathrooms. The pool was nice and the hammock area was relaxing in the sun. It's in a good location to reach the bus station and the area is quiet. However there is very little atmosphere in the hostel itself and the common room could do with a little updating. The breakfast was extremely basic - occasionally apples and oranges and pieces of stale bread. Worth paying a little more and staying somewhere else I would say.

We loved our stay at Milhouse and would definitely return! This is very much a party hostel and the nightly parties are always great. It's a very easy place to meet other travellers and the vibe of place is always lively. The hostel also offer lots of daily tours and activities which are amazing to help you explore the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the cleaners were always hard at work. The bar is slightly over priced unless it's happy hour but there's a large selection on offer
