The Explorers Guesthouse and Hostel

This is overall a good hostel for the price. They have aircon in the rooms, and downstairs. My main prob with the place is carrying my luggage up all the stairs and no WiFi in the bedrooms, only downstairs. Also there is no laundary for guests. Other than that it was a pretty good place and close to Chinatown, a train station and food markets. Terrible that the burning of vegetation in indonesia creates such a heavy haze of smoke over Malaysia.

Really far away from the city. Kitchen and toilets really far away from a lot of the accomodation including mine. Heating was extra and it was cold. No sheets. Some kind of plastic covered matress. Main thing is having to catch two busses or a train and a bus and none of the public transport is in English and often u have to pay for each seperate trip so it often cost me 5 or 8 euros for one way to the city.
