Great hostel, the only one with a swimming pool I've ever seen. Staff was great and the breakfast excellent. Clean rooms and good beds, super location! the only minor downside is that they work with two different buildings: one is the actual hostel with garden, relax room and swimming pool, where breakfast is served. Then there's another building a street away that is part of the same hostel, rooms are still great but you'll have to get out and walk around the block for the other facilities.

The facilities are pretty great, good beds and very clean and secure. One of the most important parts of a hostel for me is the atmosphere and I felt this was missing: a well-organized, clean building, but a bit lifeless. Breakfast was pretty limited too, just one sandwich and some cookies, not a buffet as in most hostels.

Hi Man, Thank you for your feedback! but we feel that you might not have understood that there is no breakfast in CaipiHostel. As you should have seen in the descrption, we donĀ“t advertise anywhere. What we have is just a little surprise for our guests to make a better CaipiDay. As for the rest, the atmosphere depends on who is at the hostel at that moment. There is nothing we can really do about it :)

Paraty Beach Hostel

Great location, literally 10 steps away from the beach. Paraty really is like paradise, and this hostel fits right in. A nice, relaxed atmosphere and since Paraty's pretty small you're close to everything anyway. Good breakfast and nice rooms with mosquito nets on the beds too :) A great place!

A pretty great hostel. I loved the nice, cosy building. The location is a very calm and secure street in Botafogo, close to public transport. Staff were excellent and they had a good breakfast. Minor downside: the room was pretty small for 10 people, especially with backpacks etc. It's a great place, more of a chill and relax vibe than a party vibe, a good place to feel comfortable.

My first hostel in Rio and a great place. Very relaxed during the day and in the evenings a party atmosphere because of the happy hour (2 caipir's for the price of 1). Lapa is a GREAT location for a hostel as there's a lot of parties and an alternative community. If you want a quiet, early night this hostel probably isn't the best place, as the rooms and their windows give direct access to the bar, which closes at 23h, but people will still be hanging around longer. For me this was no problem :)
