Laundry is a good deal at this hostel. Excellent location at the subway station makes getting around Beijing really easy. Staff are very informative and speak excellent English. Make sure to meet with Al and Winona - excellent customer service. My second time staying at this hostel and I would definitely come back!
The hostel has charm with lots of greenery hanging about- but that also brings about wildlife (spiders and such). Internet is great. Food was average. Our room was huge! But the shower didn't drain. Location is on the subway line so everything is quite easily accessible. It's on a quiet street as there is construction further up, limiting the traffic. Far away from the hot pot restaurants and shopping Mecca, but easily reached by bus 55.
The food all tasted similar (just very salty) and is overpriced as are drinks for a Hostel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet connection kept cutting out and was only available in Lobby. They do have a computer available to use that is Foreigner friendly a.k.a. Facebook etc. location is great for getting around Guilin, close to the bus terminal and to the elephant trunk hill. (Can't see it from the Hostel) Make sure you have the Chinese address as taxis don't know where it is.

Good location, close to the Bell and Drum towers. A little far from the bus terminals. Muslim Quarter and market is about a 10 min walk. Staff was great as was the food - if you like French Toast - this is the best hostel to get it at!!! Rooms were really clean, and they run lots of tours that are legitimate (I.e. English speaking guide for the Terracotta warriors) Really nice atmosphere, good place to meet new people, and have fun with their nightly organized activities.
We were greeted by a greedy owner as she immediately demanded that we pay higher rate than booked on hostel world stating that the 10% needed to make the reservation needs to be added back to the price and that the price was not updated online to reflect the summer price. There was not a functioning lock on our door and we had to wedge it in place with bedroom furniture. Room felt cramped, creepy, dark and damp. Luckily there were no bed bugs. Food was overpriced. Sitting area was uncomfortable
Staff are very friendly and hostel is a minute walk from the subway making the whole city easily accessible. Located in a hutong, the third floor balcony has good views. Food is good, offering western and Chinese delicacies. Internet is reliable. Only warning is hot water shuts off from 2pm to 6pm but it is posted in the lobby so it was not a surprise. Did I mention that the staff is awesome? They really are. Went to Great Wall with them- good value.
