Its cheap and pretty rundowned. Located at the hearth of the party mile, near to all connections. The wifi is slow and its a mystery why they have wallpapers in the shared bathroom. Of course they are wet like a sponge. The rooms would look much better with one day of renovation. But hey: Its safe, the beds are alright and if you dont care to much about cleanliness its the place to stay!

The Abercorn is average. It's not among the best or the worst hostels of London. It is clean but loud. There are no carpets or anything that could become dirty. The disadvantage is that everything echos. You definitely need ear plugs. Why don't they install acoustic isolation at the doors? At the entrance is a small shop at which you can buy 24h snacks or drinks at reasonable prices. WiFi costs extra, but is fast. I recommend the 5 £ card, as with that you can interrupt a session.
