City Backpackers Hostel

Stockholm, Sweden

What becomes crystal clear at check-in is that this place is someone's cash cow. This hostel isn't interested in the "hostel" experience. The hostel workers are unhelpful and jaded, and won't even lift their eyes from the computer screen when talking to you. The hostel is a labyrinth that begs for isolation between guests. It reeks of feet, because you must remove your shoes. Showers are grungy, bathrooms are ancient and dirty. Hidden fees. Stay somewhere else in Stockholm.

So hot inside. They have heaters under the couches. Showers are almost all broken, no hot water. WiFi that only works for about 1/3 of people. Common room sits at about 45 degrees, making it unusable. No elevator, endless stairs to the upper rooms. Staff seems intent on you eating at their restaurant. This hostel is often laughable at times. Sadly, the best one in Split it seemed.

Everything was broken, or sticky. Pretty nasty. Creaky floorboards, mattresses as old as the dawn of man.
