For one night's stay, this hostel was fine but I wouldn't recommend and more than this (especially as a solo traveller.) There were a lot of young school groups staying here, which made the common rooms overcrowded and hard to meet people aged 18+. The rooms were extremely hot, and there was no ventilation bar a small video. Hospital grade clean. Staff do the job, but aren't overly helpful.

Thank you for your review, we didn't expect a heatwave in London and unfortunately we are located in a listed building so it is impossible for us to install air con. Sorry for all the inconvenience. Hope to see you again in the future. SRS Staff

Highly recommend staying here. Awesome atmosphere, everyone was super friendly and inclusive. The staff were very nice (and gave me three pillows... what a luxury!), wifi is good, lots of common areas to both chill out and party. Rooms clean, bathrooms clean, excellent value for money. Only drawback was the 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile. I stayed in heaps of hostels travelling by myself for a month, and this was easily the cleanest, nicest and had the best atmosphere.

Absolutely LOVED staying here. The security was great, lockers provided underneath your bed to store everything (just BYO lock). Close to two tube stations, and 3 minutes walk from Hyde Park. The staff went above and beyond to help with any request, and were knowledgeable about the best things to see and do in London. Atmosphere was great, everyone was really friendly with lots of places to hang out. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Can't say enough good things.
