Happy Dragon Courtyard

Beijing, China

The hostel itself is very nice. We were just in Beijing for two days and so had a wonderful place to come back to and rest after going out. It is however located at the butt end of a very long alleyway which taxis won't go down; that's really the only bad thing about it. We did their Mutianyu Great Wall trip and had an excellent time, very few people on top, and 3+ hours to explore. Food was great, the beer can always be cheaper, but everything was fairly priced for a Beijing hostel.

Han Tang Inn Hostel

Xi'an, China

We had pretty much zero problems or complaints of the HanTang in. It's a little hard to find because it's in such a small alleyway that the first taxi driver dropped us off in completely the wrong place. I fortunately had a chinese phone on me to call the hostel with and they were able to direct him. The food was great, I think they could charge a little less for their beer. Staff very efficiently pointed out where we could and should visit in the town.
