BEWARE, DO NOT STAY HERE!! After waiting to be seen for twenty minutes upon arrival with staff who were not attentive we were told where we were staying was just five minutes away...We stumbled upon what appeared to be a council estate in a high rise block with ferrel kittens outside. This hostel whilst on the main site may be fine but it appeared that most of the rooms operate with a house share not a hostel. In the event we ended up staying in the living room of a couple that smelt of smoke.

Questionable location, whilst not faraway you could probably get nearer to the centre, as there are a great many stairs to walk up which doesn't feel very safe. Temperamental showers that were a little dated. Hostel was quite cramped and the lockers were too small to store valuables. Not a friendly hostel.

Good wifi and good kitchen facilities. Great place for a stopover, with clean sheets and towels and air con. However beware of the sweets on reception

This hostel doesn't have the same warm and welcoming feeling as other hostels, whilst the host was informative there was not a good atmosphere in the hostel. Location fine but unbearably hot despite it not being hugely warm. Quite cramped rooms with a lack of a showers. No communal areas or anywhere to make your own food or a cup of tea. Dark decor but good Internet and interesting artwork. Please be aware of drunk men who get into your bed and won't leave. Good, cheap laundrette next door.

Friendly and lively hostel, one of the best we've stayed in, lovely people very welcoming. In particular Ursula who invited us on a free pub crawl on the first night we got there, remembering everyone's names and taking us to good local places just because they wanted to get to know us, giving up their own free time to take us out. Rooms were big with no bunk beds. Made us fresh pancakes and other breakfast. Good showers. Overall, would definitely recommend, staff are amazing, especially Ursula

Varying standards of room for the same price compared to our friends who were staying there. Lady on the desk extremely helpful with good sweets on the desk. Communal areas nice but rooms a bit cramped and showers outdated. Perhaps in need of a bit of a refurb. Forty minutes walk from the centre but close to the train station.

Posh hostel nice rooms and bathrooms but poor breakfast, only two types of cereal. Location was a little bit far out, perhaps better to be on the other side of the river. Inconsiderate changing of beds at 3am turning the lights on with no apology. Helpful people on the desk though.
