I don't know where to begin about the hospitality of the staff here. I got an upgraded room with a view, great dinner (30MAD for soup and bread, 100 for a larger meal which is enough for 3 ppl) and breakfast. Also let me leave my luggage there while I went to climb Toubkal. When it was time to go down to take grand taxi I was given a lift by Mustafa down to the taxi station, which is normally 20 min walk if you are not a fast walker like me. Facilities are good and atmosphere relaxing.
Breakfast (made by Said) was very very good. there were pancakes, bread, and cakes with jams and honey. For drinks you can get tea, tea with milk, coffee, or coffee with milk. And try to go swimming in the main pool when it is not raining:) Location is very convenient as well.
Value for money is great, especially if you book from hostelworld.com. Dorm room is really spacious and large, with large roof windows. It also is the cleanest I have stayed in so far. The shower facility is nice as well. The downside is location. You do have a bit of a hike up from the center to where the hostel is. There is no WIFI, which is a problem, because you have to hike down to the center and find a cafe to get it. You have a slow computer with 10mb/s. But overall, good value.
The hostel staff are splendid--friendly, helpful, and have a sense of humor. I got invaluable advice not only from the travel agency in the hostel (which is great by the way), but the staff as well. Breakfast was great, with french toast, fresh tomato, cucumber, hard boiled egg, cereal, yogurt.. Shower isn't the best. Shower taps make water come down funny, but the temperature is fine and it's spacious inside. Bar/cafe attached to hostel is a great place to hang around. Loud at night.
