Very clean, well-run hostel. My only complaint is that the internet in the dorm I stayed in was quite weak and cut out frequently. Other than that it was a delightful hostel with people always hanging out in the common area, good facilities, and good location very near the subway.

Centrally located just next to the night market (which can be quite loud unfortunately). Staff was very helpful and had good English. They arranged a carpool day trip to Yadan Landforms for me which was great. They have a whole menagerie of animals and a nice courtyard and lobby for hanging out in. Not far from Charley Johng's cafe. Ensuite bathroom in the 8-bed dorm was reasonably clean, but it's BYOTP. Overall I liked the feeling of being in a center of the backpacker route.

The hostel is in a great location and very inexpensive, but that's about all I can say. Granted I only stayed one night and got in late, but it wasn't great. The staff wasn't friendly, the key card machine was broken so I had to have a staff person open the dorm room door for me every time, my soap got thrown out in the middle of the night before I could retrieve it, no TP provided, and even the stove in the restaurant was broken when I went for breakfast (tho the restaurant staff was nice).

This is more a budget boutique hotel than a hostel, though it does have a dorm room in addition to the private rooms. It has a very clean, beautiful, modern decor. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dorm facilities were clean. Also, it's in a fantastic location for tourist sites (Nanluoguxiang, Wudaoying Hutong, Lama Temple, Gui Jie) and transportation. Despite being right off Nanluoguxiang, it was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again, maybe to try a private room.

The hostel was in a fantastic location, not far from Wudaoying Hutong/Lama Temple, Nan Luoguxiang, Dongcheng music venues, Gui Jie, and the metro. It was quiet (mostly) and a good value for the money, and decently clean. However, the 4-bed dorm was very small, cramped with just 3 people in it. My biggest complaint is that there is no common space (the bar is always closed, abandoned, or being used by the staff for their meals), so I didn't meet anyone other than the people in my dorm room.
