Hostel Santa Monaca

The beds were pretty comfy. The rooms were very very hot. The showers were not very big at all. The kitchen was fantastic. One of the best ones I have been in throughout my Europe trip. Great location. Google directions are unclear. Need to say that you need to go behind the church to find the piazza to get on the right road to go over the bridge. With that addition very easy to find. Close to 2 supermarkets. Doors slam throughout the night making sleeping tricky.

This was a horrible stay. The reception line was ridiculous at least 20 min wait. Understaffed with a over booked hostel/hotel. Split up our booking so one had to go in a room that was 2 floors off. The rooms where not always cleaned-after everyone else checked out of the room dirty underwear, beer glasses stayed on the floor for 2 , food and garbage would be in hallways and stairwells. A bunch of young kids got wasted at 6pm were all over the hostel dumping beer from balcony. cops had to come.

Was only able to stay one night but the hostel seemed pretty good. The room we were in was on ground level right next to the outside common area which was pretty loud making falling asleep a bit tricky. I would stay here again as it seemed like it would be a comfortable stay.

Hotel des Andelys

Was a decent hotel. Compared to staying in hostels it was nice to have a room that wasn't shared with 8 other people. On a loud street so make sure you bring head phones since its hot and you need to have the window open. Shower was small but definitely not the worst. The older gentleman at reception was very helpful. Told us that in order to experience the city we should stay out of the subway and walk. He was right! the rooms were clean beds pretty comfy.

Arsenal Tavern Hostel

The staff were great. Always very helpful with good and useful information. The area is pretty far out and from what i have learned talking from other people in London its in one of the not so great parts of town. If you are all about the sightseeing and dont go out partying than this aspect will not be a problem. If you go out the tube shuts down at 11:30pm so its either cab or bus. bus is where the weird people are. Cleanliness ok and the showers were decent. 3 story bunks very hot rooms.
