be aware if the manager says "I am going to upgrade you from dormitory to a single private room". it might be a small room in a separate dodgy building with no wifi connection, no hot shower, bad bathroom and it gets really really cold at night during winter. but to be fair to them, i actually stayed in this hostel again at a week later and was given another room this time WITHIN the same building, a real 'single private room' and it was actually excellent.

its literally 3 minutes walk from train station (if you know the right alley way). Everything is nice and recommended, but since its a huge and quite a popular hostel, there are a lot of other local/international customers so dont expect any exceptional treatments u normally get from small hostel owners elsewhere in India

Staffs were really friendly and will help you with their best effort. Showed me all the directions and price for tuktuk. Spacey room, nice hot shower and very clean. Highly recommended at very reasonable price. Location is a bit of a distance from Ganga river but you will appreciate the calmness of that.

i arrived 10 hours late (because train from Delhi was delayed for 10 unbelievable hours due to heavy winter fog), but the hostel owner accommodated me well and even let me checkout whenever i was comfortable (despite of the usual 12:00 noon checkout time). Room are spacey, comfortable and 15mins walk to taj mahal. Located in residential area, so you will appreciate the calm neighbourhood.

Sunny really assisted me with the train itinerary, and speaks really good english as well. Add a little extra money to get a private ensuite room, it's really worth the little extra money.
