Bathroom floor would get very wet & slippery whenever someone had showered- a mop or something kept in there to clean up after showers would have been good. Also bag hooks inside each curtained bed compartment would have been ideal.
Very comfortable beds, good modern showers & toilets although the showers only provide water in 20 second bursts which was annoying. No wifi was an issue.
Worst showers ever- all in the basement, lights were on a sensor/ timer so they turned themselves off, the taps were also on a timer so the water came out in 15 second bursts. Having them all together seemed like a good idea but it was a fair trek to get to them. Seemed to have big groups of people staying who took over the common area. Also the place is like a rabbit warren & easy to get lost in. Better ventilation was needed in the rooms, also more powerpoints & a bag hook IN each bed space.
Push down taps in the showers that only give you 15 second bursts of water SUCK!
When I stayed here they were in the process of doing some renovations, which didn't have a negative impact on my stay, but I imagine it will be even better once the updates are completed.
Kitchen was under-equipped (especially number of pots & pans etc), not enough room in the "dining area", internet was dismal. Maybe things will be better after the renovations they seemed to be doing?
Terrible showers that you had to turn on again every 15 seconds, bar & chillout areas were good but wifi was intermittent. Pretty far from the action.
This hostel was running very smoothly considering it had only been open for about a month. A couple of the staff members could have perhaps used a little more training but that's to be expected when they are obviously travellers themselves. Most of the staff were friendly & helpful though!
I thought it was fantastic that the hostel actually emailed me separately from Hostelworld to confirm the booking & provide some extra information. Just a little extra but instilled a ot of confidence.
