Few good and a few bad points about dingo. Staff friendly enough, location is superb - close enough whilst remaining quiet. Good free breakfast too and a nice pool. However, beds were very spongy, not in an uncomfortable way, just not great. Also on the day of leaving, you have to be out by 4, or you can't get your key deposit. We were told this at 3:50 despite having booked a taxi for 6 earlier in the day!

Stayed here for 3 days having previously lived in Sydney. Having lived here, I know the reputation and what to expect from kings cross, which basically isn't very nice. Chose Eva's as it was away from darlinghurst road but still central enough. Very clean with a good kitchen. Bathrooms and beds both excellent meaning we had an enjoyable stay here. Excellent hostel.

Stayed here 3 times now and don't know why you would stay anywhere else in patong. Lovely clean bathrooms and nice chill out area. Good beds with excellent ac. Location is perfect, on bangla road, but set back enough that you can still sleep at night. Only downside is the intermittent internet that doesn't reach all of the rooms. Other than that, perfect

Free wifi, breakfast and good beds meant my stay here was pretty good. No mistaking though, kings cross is a dive, but if you want to stay there, then the location is pretty good too. Annoyingly had 3 separate staff members come in each morning to clean. Also seemed pretty quiet when I was there, not sure why.

Nice hostel with good facilities like free breakfast and wifi. Beds comfy and staff good too. Only issue was lots of long term people which made socialising hard.

Really nice 'party' hostel. Couldn't hack it for 2 of the 3 nights I was there due to jet lag, but even with this noise wasn't really an issue. Problem with chain hostels like base is that they are experts in maximising profit, so if they can charge you, they will.

Stayed here for August Full Moon mainly as its half the price of many places in Haad Rin. Mangos has a great location if you want to be away from the majority of people. This means you will have to take taxis every day (easy and never more than 100baht). However, the prefull moon parties tend to be away from Haad Rin (Jungle, Pool Waterfall) and so taxis great. Mangos has a great chill out area with one of the best ipods Ive ever seen. Great beach and a shop next door. Make of this what you will
