It was not clean, and the hostel is like a maze with so many staircases and doors to go through before you can reach your room. Breakfast was ok though

you booked our largest room and with being last to arrive at 11pm, the room may have seemed unclean due to messy room mates, but rest assured by the following morning when our cleaners arrived cleanliness was restored . check out the video of our maze online (youtube)some witty guests filmed themselves going to their room....

The staff are very friendly. Donna is so helpful! The breakfast is free, and has milk with cereal, toasts and jam, the hostel is just next to shopping mall where there are supermarkets!

The wifi sucks, should fix it asap. The breakfast scones are over-cooked, but the corn flakes with milk are good. The pantry is quite nice, so we can cook meals by ourselves very conveniently. Our room has fascinating sea-view!

Castle Rock Hostel

The hostel is located on the hill which is difficult for visitors carrying luggage from the train station. The staff is helpful and kind. The Wifi is very poor and slow. The breakfast is a bit simple and not worth the spend, as it includes only corn flakes, toast, orange juice or apple juice. Strongly recommend backpackers to prepare breakfast for themselves.

Hatters on Newton Street

Manchester, England

Like the free breakfast offered by Hatter, which includes fresh fruits, yogurts, and toasts with jam or butter. Coffee was a bit not good though. Bad thing was that there were no electric sockets near our bed, so need to charge up everything in canteen where there are sockets or in the room where sockets are in a distance. The washrooms and showers are not on the same floor as the room, so it is a bit troublesome to go.

Thank you for the review. First of all I would like to apologise for the inconvenience we cause by allocating you in a different floor from your bedroom. We always try to allocate people in the most convenient way but sometimes on a busy weekend is not always possible. Don't forget next time to come to reception for any other problems, like the power sock as well! We are always happy to help. :))
