Awesome. Probably the best place to stay in Colombo. Half way between the Mt Lavinia beach and the city centre. Indian visa office is close too. The hostel has good WiFi, nice common areas, and is around the corner from a convenience store. Beds are a bit expensive by Sri Lankan standards, but the services provided make up for it. Would be cool if there was a dryer though for when laundry needs to be done fast, its the only thing missing.
Bit pricey for the region, but location is really good and staff are friendly.
Everything is good or better. The terrace/common area is awesome. A decent breakfast is included. Only thing that needs some work is the lockers which at least in my dorm seemed unlockable (you could turn it open despite it being padlocked).
Very well located hostel. The atmosphere is relaxed, and peace is maintained with the front door being closed from 5am-8am, this is good or bad depending on which side of the door you're on:) Tea is available all day for free, breakfast costs five TL, laundry is way too expensive (hopefully that euro sign will be changed to lira soon). Lockers are in the reception area, the dorm #18 needs to improve compared to the others (moisture issue). TLDR: best location for the price, no after-party.
Loved it, great idea and i wish there were more places like this. You rent a room in the apartment and get the keys at the time of arrival that you specify. Location is very good, there are the necessary facilities, and the guy is helpful when he is around. Keep in mind that this is not a normal hostel, people in the reviews who expect staff to be around have the wrong idea. TLDR: Affordable home away from home. Thanks KOKOB!

Good hostel, shower needs fixing though (extremely low warm water pressure)
Good small but a bit run down hostel, could use a makeover. Staff is helpful, cat is playful, a very good traditional restaurant is very near, and theres plenty of information about activities. Recommended for a stay in the old city, but if you want modern and new then theres equally priced big hostels near Republic Square.
Excellent. Common area is really chill, beer is cheap for Scandinavian standards with two beers for 40 danish krona at happy hour. Ask the reception about the free walking tours in Copenhagen, they're really good.. Although the wait to bathrooms in the hostel can be rather long, and since they're small with only a curtain separating the shower there's always loads of water on the floor(so bring flip-flops). Excellent value for money relative to Scandinavia, average if compared cheaper countries.
Excellent. Could improve on common areas for relaxing, larger terrace with smoking option would be nice. There could also be some cheese included in the optional 3EUR breakfast, only having jam or butter gets old fast. Otherwise, new hostel, excellent staff, good value for ten euros. Extended my stay a couple of times.
Good place to sleep, close to the central station, WiFi works. Only two bathrooms for quite many people so sometimes it's a bit busy, no sink in one of them. Staff is good. Atmosphere not like normal hostel with parties, although a bit of quiet can be nice.
Tents are really warm in the day so sleep after midnight. Excellent party atmosphere, walking distance to town with nice views on the way. WiFi sucks. Would go there again, but I heard they are moving to a different less central location next year.
New facilities and rooms. Good beds. WiFi ok. The atmosphere is good, and there is a terrace on the top for partying, although I'm not sure they want people hanging out there since it was closed/blocked the last night. Good place to make q pit stop on the trip.
