Great spot for a one-night stay prior to an early flight. Impressed with the nice staff and clean facilities.

Best part is the location -- right near beach, pier, 3rd street promenade. Cost $1 to get to from LAX via bus. Great hostel, although too expensive: including all taxes and fees it costs me $50/night as a non-member in a 6-bed dorm. Showers don't have heat options, it's just an on/off knob, so they are warm but not hot. Dorm rooms are great -- every bed has its own outlets and light. Wifi is good. Bonus points for charming open areas like a fireplace room and atrium. Decent breakfast.
Thank you for the feedback! Great to see that you enjoyed our delicious breakfast and that you were able to get cozy by our fireplace. We're sorry that you found our prices unreasonable. We strive very hard to offer the most affordable accommodations near the beach. We also want you to know that we're finalizing some remodels for our bathrooms which are going to take care of any water temp issues you might have had with the showers. Please come and stay with us again soon. Safe travels!

LOVED this place. Staff is so helpful in planning whatever you'd like to do around Cape Town. Dorm rooms are cozy, wifi is strong, kitchen and shared areas are clean and well-decorated. There's a great balcony with a hammock where you can enjoy views of Table Mountain. Great restaurants and coffee shop that's literally 30 seconds away on foot. It's a quiet, chill place and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This is a party hostel, in case you're someone like me looking to avoid party hostels. If this is your thing, go for it -- there's a (loud) bar and people really seemed to be enjoying themselves. If you want a quiet place to rest at night while you explore Cape Town during the day, maybe look elsewhere. Also, two women in the 6-bed dorm had been living there for 8 weeks and it showed -- I couldn't tell which bed was even available because stuff was everywhere.
Hi Erica I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us - the bar can be a bit of a party sometimes, but it does close early these days :-) We have a couple of volunteers staying for some time but I was not aware that they had taken over the room... I will follow up, so thanks for that. Regards Lisa

Great place to stay in Addis. Clean rooms, great staff. They have wifi, which is a priority for me (it's as fast as the government-run service allows... I went to the Sheraton looking for faster wifi, and it cost me $5 for an hour and was just as fast as MM's Cozy Guesthouse). The location is good -- not too far from the airport; try to negotiate 150 birr for a one-way trip. There's a nice restaurant around the corner (Green View) as well as ATM & store. Will return here every time I'm in Addis.
