It was a unique experience and I would there again for sure. The guy who runs the place enjoys what he is doing and you can tell :)
The weird thing about the hostel is that there are more people working in the hostel than staying there as guests. Try not to stay in a room with the staff because it gets crowded there since they have a lot of stuff...But it's a cheap way to sleep if you want to see the expensive and touristic south.
I really enjoyed my stay at the AlentejoSurfHostel. Diana and Sergio are very funny and helpful people. The hostel is not directly located at the beach but you can reach it within a 25-minutes walk. Also Diana and Sergio offer rides. You feel immediately at home there. Due to an injury i couldn't attend surflessons. But other people in the hostel / camp really enjoyed and liked the lessons from Sergio. I definitely want to return. A great escape from busy city-days.
a brandnew hostel, very good location, very friendly staff, they give u a lot of advice. bunkbed are more like wooden boxes - so they give u more privacy. breakfast was average. the highlight was the garden. it was amazing. best hostel i stayed in
